Tony Romo played, finished San Francisco game with punctured lung

While a CT scan revealed only one fracture to Tony Romo's ribs, the Cowboys' quarterback has been diagnosed with a punctured lung, according to sources.

Coach Jason Garrett, who never specifically addressed the lung puncture, said Monday that he did not rule out Romo playing next week against Washington, and sources confirmed that it doesn't change his status for that game.

Pretty brave for Romo considering what more damage he could have done to himself.

Now ESPN has reason to be all up on his junk.

haha... this is jerry jones using his influence in the media to put a positive spin on his qb.he floats these overblown medical assessments done by "team doctors" to try and show romo as some gutty warrior, willing his team to victory despite suffering from injuries that would actually prevent the common man from standing up and walking to the bathroom. what better way to get people to stop talking about the chokes? romo was hurt.that was obvious,but this trash about holes in the lung and severed ribs is all jerry jones tomfoolery and to be honest, it's bs.people need to open their eyes to how public relations people work and the role they play in crafting an image. anyone buying into these injuries as something serious, is lacking the ability to discern deception of the devious. jerry is trolling with a purpose.this is spades not speed....
