“When I get a chance to watch them in practice it immediately tells me whether they are losing focus or whether they are losing confidence. That is 100 percent not the case,” Sparano told Dolphins Digest. “When they are out there in competitive situations and they have the pride in not wanting to get beat in competitive drills, pride in wanting to beat the other guy, that tells me they are still with me.”Sparano and his camp are very aware owner Steve Ross needs him to produce a winning season to remain the coach of the Dolphins, and his belief is it’s not too late to turn it around.http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...-is-confident-dolphins-are-still-with-me.html

Well at least you have 53 people on your side Tony. Cause i can assure you that the entire fanbase aint.

It's a waste of time listening to what Sparano says these days. He's a dead man walking.

haha the guy is so clueless it's beyond comprehension.

I wish i saw the guy in public so I could just berate him. I hope he doesn't honestly think we are buying his drivel, and that we are that stupid.

Guys, I am as frustrated and have no faith in Tony, but what else is the guy going to say? ANYTHING he says will be intrepreted negatively. His options are to quit, don' speak to the public, or say he or his team has given up. It's just a sorry situation.

I'm ready for him to go too but this is pathetic. Just because he is bad at his job doesn't mean he's a bad person. This post says more about you than him.

Jesus people.. what did you expect him to say?

Any coach in that situation would say exactly the same thing. Reid, Cowher, and Gruden.

Get over it. This topic becomes relevant by the end of the month.

Excellent. He's basically saying we're sucking for Luck.

honestly wouldn't shock me. Much like Rod Marinelli, Sparano is a guy the players probably do really like and want to succeed. BUT also like Marinelli, he's just out of his comfort zone as a HC

He created this whole situation himself, so he has no one to blame but Tony S.

He needed to win 2 more games in 2009 & 2010 and we wouldn't be on his case - just yet - 0-5 and yes we would be.
