Look i know ryan is not a bad coach, and his D is def top of the line. He also is changing the culture for the better in NY. But there are some big things i've noticed.

1) Use of timeouts - Even if they held us to a field goal wouldnt they still want to try to win in the last minute or so?? Who does not call a single timeout i just dont understand it. His arrogance and stupid act showed heavily when he said "i figured they wouldnt score" lol drop the bull-sh*t act already rex the tough guy we are the best aint workin after a loss. We had scored on several drives just prior to that drive so what kinda dumb crap arguement is that??

2) press conferences - Saying how "horrible" his D played is just stupid. The Dolphins almost beat the Colts - we are the number 1 running team in football. Our line is solid and we run a very exotic offense. Why cant the guy be classy and say "credit to those guys they played their game, ya know its a tough loss, we fought hard" b/c thats the truth. this game coulda gone either way. it was a classic monday night matchup between the jets and phins what do u expect? Tony S. did not say nething even when baited. he does not want to get involved in trash talking as a head coach. He gets behind his guys and points out the pros n cons of every game. He complimented sanchez and even the jets wildcat package and defense. he never said "we sucked out there we made sanchez look like namath". Most elite coaches in this league are the ones who remain mature and classy. not the b.s. talkers.

3) the players - we were prepared and also gracious after the game. Pace saying "i cant respect that get that outta here" has to be one of the most baby-like, immature, bratty things i've ever heard from a grown man. You just got beat bad by this package and ur saying u cant respect it? i beleive that this is a direct reflection of the coach and the atitude. The jets with all their media darling crap have drank their own kool aid. The fans did too. I was so nice all week saying "if we can run it'll be a good game" and every jet fan todl me how dumb i was and they were going to crush us

4) Rex ryan is acting like such a media whore himself that he went alllllll out for the pats game and got so high off the win (just like the fans) what he failed to realize was that the pats are good but this isnt 07, and that every division game is just as tough in the afc east. also that that was week 2 of a long season and alot can change. I feel like they treated that game like the superbowl (maybe again buyin that media hype jets vs pats rivalry, haha - id say the phins - pats AND phins - jets are much better rivalries but hey espn knows best right?) and neglected to take us seriously simply based off record - that my freinds is a piss poor atitude. Every good team ive ever heard has said the same thigns "this is the NFL any given week any team can play hard and can have a shot to win" I really think these guys got too hyped. I think sanchez is a great player and i think edwards is too. i also think the jets D is something to be reckoned with. what i fear for jets fans though is that this is still more of the same old jets. Get extra hyped and be "superbowl contenders" every september only to falter. Im sure the jets will have plenty more wins and we are going to have a really tough game in 3 weeks up here in jersey, but Ryan needs to knock off the loud mouth b.s. and start forming an elite nfl team in mind as well as body.

I like to think Ryan was having a hard time picking up his fat chin off the floor to call a timeout. :D

All day every day even before last nights game...Ryan's "schtick" will wear out REAL soon especially when they lose more games and he blames his mismanagement of the game on his defensive players

the refs even gift wrapped the game for that fat **** so dirty sanchez could do the mexican hat dance on the 50 yard line for mexican month

They were just talking about this on WQAM as well. He's a good defensive coach and one game isn't going to change that but he's also arrogant which kind of makes him a lightning rod for blame and controversey. That being said i like our coach way better than him. The offense and meticulous attention to detail are amazing.

#1 maybe, I don't think it made much difference but ok.

#2 why is saying his D played poorly stupid? Should he have patted them on the back and said nice try?

#3 I don't like the players whining.

#4 we lost by 4 points on the road against a desperate div rival. We are still in 1st place after 5 games.

Have you followed the dolphins long? This was a dolphin staple from the early 90s through the early 00s.

I think the timeouts made a huge difference how can u even say that? you had 3 seconds man u coulda had at least a few more seconds. He did not just say his D played poorly. he made it sound like they were absolutly atrocious and screwed up several oppurtunities which downplayed how well the dolphins executed and he threw them under the bus in a way. its one thing to say you played poorly and another to be a baby about it and not be gracious in any way shape or form. I know your still in first and i even said ud do fine this season - no one can predict the future, and i certainly dont even care about the afc championship or any of that i am rooting for a division title. i know my teams limitations - but with teams like the colts, ravens, maybe even cinci and denver - do the jets seem as elite as they were hyped to be after this game? Yes i've followed miami for a long time and i understand the expectations but what im pointing out is that we had a hall of fame qb and coach for many of those years i mean top 2 qbs of all time man. Every year the jets get hyped from some rookie, or some old vet aquired in free agency, or some new RB, or some new coach and its just funny. I mean look at this game alonee. i live in NJ..no jets fan would even hear stats or info or anything and most had no clue about any other team or any of our players all they did was hype themselves on their own no-names, i've just never heard about any other team or fans acting like that EVERY YEAR. lol last year i was told phins suck and jets had the afc east set after the titans game. i didnt say a single word in retaliation. ill never forget it.

besides some people on here, who has called the phins superbowl contenders? i know of no "expert" that has.

The only year in recent years we were called contendres was last year and we were 8-3 having just won at NE and whooped unbeaten Ten on the road. We sure looked like contenders at that moment in time. You guys weren't SB contenders last year and you aren't this year- you are in the same tier that we are.

We just beat you, impressively. So, whatever we are, it's better than you, until further notice.

nyjunk....I read alot more then I post, because some members express the same line of thinking as mine ;) but I think you are stuck in the days of DAVE WANNSTEDT and the other losers we had era....Those days are over.

OK let's talk about the present. You guys aren't even at .500 and we lead the division. Is that better for you?:D

I think we out coached them, plain & simple.

He was a little too candid & honest in his press conference too.

He thought there was no way that we could score a TD so he didn't take his timeouts?

That kind of extreme egoism means he is not going to be able to make good judgement calls in the future on the sideline.

We have better coaches, they may have better players, but next time it won't be so close...

we have lost to - ATL, SD, IND --- combined record - 10-3

ya'll have lost to - MIA, NO --- combined record - 7-3

we beat - BUF, NY --- combined record - 4-6

ya'll beat - NE, TEN, HOU --- combined record - 5-10

oh yeah, did i mention Miami BEAT the Jests... WE are better than you guys. Face it. NE is not what they used to be and you cant possible praise urselfs about beating TEN.
