Tony Sparano training camp preview.

nice get 'bro.

'Expectations' are sooo tricky... From a micro level with individual players to a macro... The entire team. How this team responds to those increased expectations will be the story of this season. Does Chad P have another level? Merling and Langford going to settle in or take a step back? The young secondary... Full of questions... I think when you begin to break it down there are many more questions than answers but that is what the preseason is for.

I thought it was interesting that Sparano does not favor the full contact drills in camp. Always thought he was a bread and butter... Keep the game simple and master the basics smash mouth, kind of guy. I thought our tackling last year at times was abysmal... I don't know if I agree with him completely on that one. I think during the season sure... but in camp??? JMO.

This was cool to see:

(Sparano talking about Pennington): "I have seen him get better in the spring, better fundamentally and stronger. I can see it in the velocity of his ball."

I like this coach, ALOT! He appears to understand whats going on with everything. He is not taking anything for granted and is going to make the players the same way. I finf it interesting that he feels Penny can get better, especially the mentioning of the zip in Penny's pass. Is it possible that Penny can make his pass stronger, its going to be interesting to watch. I'm looking forward to it.

Nobody in the NFL outside of Andy Reid tackles to the ground in TC. The risk of injury is just to great. Id rather see a couple missed tackles than actually be missing a starting Tackle due to injury in TC.

I got a tingly feeling from that one...
i hope pennington can fill that void marino left me

a SuperBowl win while i am FREAKING Alive...

Nice Post......I love Sparano's interviews.......It nice to see CP10 working hard to keep his job..........what a leader......I feel good about this year....I would love for CP to get him a ring before he's replaced.

If Penny gets even gets close to a ring, i.e Division Champs again, Conference Champs or Super Bowl chaddy aint going anywhere anytime soon.

You have to understand that over the past few offseasons Penny has been busy rehabbing for an injury..

This offseason he is completely healthy, which has allowed him to workout at the Dolphins complex and at St Thomas..

He has had the time this offseason to hone in on his skills and work to refine them, instead of spending all his time rehabbing.. So I do think it's possible that he can get his arm stronger for more velocity on his throws.
