It's in Sun Sentinel updated at 4pm today.

"...Praised him but no commit."

I wonder why? Maybe these NFL coaches who actually watch these players every day in practice, watch practice film, position meetings, etc actually know more than us edumacated fans!

What a thought.

Thigpen hopefully will get a chance to compete for a starting job here.

May the best player win the job.

I wouldn't read too much into it. The mantra for this regime has been competition at every position. Henne will have to earn the job just like everybody else. I think he will.

So every time Sparano speaks about a player, you expect him to say "he is my guy"?

Not saying it is a lot different then saying, "I am not committed to Chad Henne going forward".

Not the vote of confidence a "franchise QB" usually gets from the HC, especially after throwing 14 pics and a 9-7 season.

I read plenty into it.

Ever hear Sparano rave about Cobbs? Ricky Williams? Jason Ferguson?

Open your eyes bro!

Who is their right mind would commit themselves to a QB that has only started a few games and wasn't absolutely a lights out player? It's not like he was a high draft pick that they are financially tied to.

Many times. Never hear him commit to them either. Big difference between raving about a player and committing to him.

"Chad Henne is solid, has some things to work on to get ready for next year. I am happy with him".

"Chad Henne is solid, has some things to work on to get ready for next year. I am happy with him but not committed to him as the future".

Big difference. Just because it's not there, is meaningless.

He's probably more concerned with the 2010 season first. lol

He just doesn't want Henne to get too comfortable and wants him to continue to fight for his job.

Anybody with even a small IQ knows that Henne is the guy going forward and is indeed the starter going into 2010.

is this for real, Chad Henne is without a doubt our FRANCHISE QB, wtf???
