Face it Tony was a better Coach. Even after he was lame ducked by Ross in '11 at least his teams played hard and didn't check out. Philbin needs to be step down its over. Who's the Head Coach next year? Hopefully someone who has won something.

One thing with the players under Sparano is they played a lot more physical. Even opposing players were saying that we were about the most physical team they played when Sparano was coach.

i miss that style, smashmouth but im old fashioned. **** it anything is better than this pansy offense

Tony had one real chance to make the playoffs and did it. His team got the crap kicked out of it in the first half of week 16 that year and fought back to win and force a winner take all game for the division. His team pulled out all the stops and beat the Jets out of sheer will. Philbin has had two different chances where the stars lined up for him to seal a playoff berth and his team fell entirely flat both times in multiple games. There is absolutely no way you can tell me that the 2008 squad had more talent than what has come through Miami during Philbin's tenure. Rishard Matthews was better than any of our 2008 WR's and he's just now getting playing time.

After that things were entirely lacking, and while I blame Chad Henne for being the death of Sparano's teams, he is at fault for continuing to start Henne even after he had proven ineffective until injury forced the issue.

No doubt he was, and Tony sucked. But he was still better than Philbin.

2008 Tony and the Fins won the last 4 games to go 11-5 win the Division and got to Host the Playoff game. BTW Tanny's has more talent than Penny did in 08 too.

Sparano = played hard, team has no talent
Philbin = team has talent, plays soft

It's a vicious cycle

Polish, polish, polish...now which turd is shinier?

I wasn't a fan of Sparano, but I liked the scheme and being physical. If we had more talent and QB like Tannehill, Sparano would have been more successful here.

The wildcat and "Feed the Wolf" bull**** were fun but the team didn't do dick with him as coach. The 2008 season is such an aberration due to Brady's injury.

God Miami hasn't made the playoffs in 7 years. It's completely pathetic how non-winning these **** breathers can't put it together.

It was a lateral move. Unfortunately there is a very real chance that Eric Mangini is going to be our next head coach. That will be yet another lateral move.
