Tony Wise Living Off His Laurels...

Really? Check out this thread on the subject I started almost a year ago.
we had ricky to soften the blow...it's hard to say your oline is THAT BAD when your RB is getting 1300 yards on the season...now I get it...

My question is, what do we do with them...scrap the whole deal for a second year in a row, or leave them in there in order to "gel" as everyone has been saying...I don't know about the whole "gelling" issue...i have never seen anything like this before...i can't imagine this line will improve that dramatically in 14 games...even if we draft a lineman, the chances of him starting and being effective next year are not very good...i see this as a BIG problem for the next 2 years...

I thought he was the o-line coach during Jimmy Johnson's super bowl days at Dallas. If not then what the hell is he still doing here?

Yep. Todd Wade mentioned that Wise teaches a man blocking scheme that is very complicated and requires each lineman to be able to handle whatever "man" he is to block. It only works when the linemen are very good at knowing the scheme and can physically contain their man every play. In other words, when Wise was in Dallas, and he had probowlers on his oline, it worked. In today's NFL it doesn't work...and not many teams use it.

THANKS WANNY for putting your friends and comfort ahead of our team.

Oh, and dont get me started on the Westhoff-Armstrong ST coaching change. :fire:

I really think that we have enough talent to have at least a decent line, especially when Macintosh gets back. But I don't know if there is anything that can or will be done other than to wait it out and hope that we have enough talent to overcome Wise's horrible coaching scheme. Although I would love to see him fired TODAY and replaced by ANY up and commer with less then 30% body fat, I don't think it will happen.
