At least the team wanted to win under Tony. Overall he was a better Head Coach.
 
Totally agree.

After seeing Hardknocks I knew right away Philbin's demeanor and coaching ability was HIGHLY questionable.

He is proving me right week after week.

I tried to think what he does good, and other than looking like Mr. Rogers , I couldn't think of anything.
 
Tony was well liked . . . he was a players coach. Philbin looks to be the exact opposite. Honestly, there is no way you could say Philbin is a "better" coach at this point. The Team Tony had in 2008 mops up anything Philbin has done in a year and a half in Miami . . . hell it's not even close.

Atleast Philbin can be proud of his red flag challenge percentage (I believe 100%). Wish he would of thrown it on the Matthews catch tho.
 
Tony was forced to play lame duck was that season. Even forced to play Chad Henne even though Matt Moore was a better QB and then went out and then proved it to everybody. Had he had started the 11 season they would have made the playoffs that year and last year too. No doubt the players wanted Tony to be the Head Coach and not fired.

Tony problem was no Chad Pennington AFTER 2008. Ross wanted to sell Chad Henne even though everybody knew Matt Moore was better. Hell he's better than Tanney now.

This team never even started under him in 2011 let alone gave up!

Please stop the insanity. Tony is dumb as a box of rocks, threw his players under the bus for poor execution of. dinosaur Henning's archaic playcalling that was so predictable that opposing defenses admitted they could predict 90% of what was coming. Did I mention that as a demoted jest OC he was the worst in the league and now demoted again, he's back to being a mediocre line coach for the crappy Raiders? Make a suggestion like this again and I swear to god I'll red rep your ass!
 
When Joe brings Miami to a playoff game you can say he is as good as Tony.
