Well it seemed that finally last season Chambers wasnt just a mediocre WR but became possible an elite player. But this year Chambers has reverted back to his pre second half of 2005 form.

Booker has emerged as the number 1 for this team. It seems when Marty is involved more he has better stats than CC.

I just find it pathetic that Wes Welker has more yards than Chambers.
Chambers is faster, bigger, jumps high, taller, catches better.

When Booker has 5+ ctaches with miami since 2004

2004
7 catches 123 yards vs Pats
5catches 96 yards vs Bills

2005
5 catches 104 yards vs Denver
5 catches 102 yards vs Patriots
7 catches 86 yards vs Pats

2006
7 catches 110 yards vs Packers
7 catches 115 yards vs Lions.

The fact is Marty makes more of his opportunities than Chambers.

Nope,

You take what the defense gives you, and sometimes when teams roll coverage to CC, others have to make plays.

the fact that booker and welker, and Hagan are making catches has a more to do with the respect that is paid to Chambers.

My only issue with Chris is that if he is a big time receiver, he has to make plays happen and go after it, and sometimes i don't think he does this.

Ummmmmmm did you say Chambers "catches better" than Welker????? Hopefully that was a typo.

Nice Post. I agree Booker makes plays when given his chance, unlike Chambers. However if we stop Looking at Chambers being the #1 man, and instead the #2 Receiver, we cant complain with Chambers contribution.

However, everyday Fins fans say the same thing about Chambers before a game, "he could have a big day" and "chambers will break out today" the fans are always expecting he can do great things. That shows that we all think he can do great things, and if we think it, im sure other teams do. Chambers is a player Im more than happy staying on the roster for years to come.

He is always capable of having a big day, and that excites me every Sunday!

whether chambers himself gets the play or he takes attention away from someone else who makes the play, i dont care so long as someone makes the play and Miami wins.

The more Booker makes'em pay for doubling chambers the better we are..if Booker can consistently play near to the way he did yesterday, amd our OL keeps blocking well...Our offense creates mismatches against ANY defense..

..Sad thing is we create these matchups quite often..but rarely do we hold on to the ball..

Yeah, Chris gets the tight coverage that the other rec's don't have. If the defense is going to double someone it will be Chris. CC actually makes the other rec's better by drawing tight coverage. He just has to be ready to make the clutch catches when the ball is thrown his way. With the speed of the defenses and quick reads that are needed to complete passes, it is hard for the QB to keep chambers involved. I think it is great that we spread the ball around. It keeps the defense guessing.

Hum, Chambers drops better than Welker! Welker has the best hands on the squad when it comes to catches. Only chink in his armor is he fumbles from time to time, but that is generally on returns.

Chambers needs a big play! I'm losing faith and it pisses me off to no end when he drops passes because #1 receivers can't do that, plain and simple.

Well said.

Reggie Wayne has better stats than Marvin Harrison. Terry Glenn has better stats than T.O. (well HAD, until Romo came in). There are a lot of #2 WRs that get more looks than the #1 guy, but does that mean they are better than them? Not at all, it means the #1 guy is getting double teamed, or extra attention from the defense, which leaves the #2 or 3 WR open. If you take Chambers out and start Booker, Hagan, and Welker, Booker wouldn't have the stats he has right now.

I do think Chambers just takes too damn long to do anything though. Hell, I guess ti goes for the entire team the past two years. It's great that we went on a streak last year, and are on a streak this year, but why the hell couldn't we do it from the start? We lost to teams weaker the the ones we are winning against now, and we will most-likely miss the playoffs again this year, so the only real thing we are doing is lowering out draft pick, since we saw this season that the momentum definately does not carry over into the season. But back to Chambers, it seems liek he takes FOREVER to "find a rythm". He is always a "bust" (fans/experts words, not mine) the first half and a "star" or "true #1" in the second half of a season. If he can do it in the second half, he can do it in the first, so he needs to step up and do it, nt wait til the media bashes him and then "get angry" and go out there and prove them wrong. If that's what he needs then the media should bash him in the offseason and pre season so by the time the regular season rolls around he is good and mad and ready to prove 'em wrong :rolleyes2

I'm not one to call players busts (until YEARS down the road in their career anyway), and I'm nto going to say that about Chambers, but he does need to step up because his performance, or lack-there-of, is getting old.

Hope, in the first place, is what it have us were we are. DC, JH, RB, our defense, Saban, etc. The matter of that fact is that we can count on some thing(for the most), but other not. CC have show that he is not reliable and if you want a champ, you most behaive like one week in & week out. GO DOLPHINS!! :dolphins:

Ps JH have started to show some light of been a reliable qb with not to many turnovers and not lossing the game for us. Thanks JH

stats mean nothing thiers nothing wrong with him hes just not getting the stats hes still playing and we are still winning!!!
Its like Jason Taylor yesterday i think out of the 8 sacks 3-4 of thos JT had allready hit the Qb or had got pentration to force him to take a sack its like th unwritten code of football. Even tho CC isint getting the stats he did last year...he is still respected by the defense and they still have to double him alot of the time!!!

If Chambers was in the "10 yard slant" comfort zone of Harrington's like Welker, he wouldn't be dropping anything. I've seen Welker dropped them too, it's just Welker's always hit him in the breadbasket... Chamber's chance are usually deep routes where they aren't thrown in the best of spot. You make it sound like he drops passes all the time, yesterday he had 3 or 4 looks, but there were some that Joey pretty much threw them away in Chamber's direction..
