Why not? Training camp is here. It seems like there will be some tough cuts this year, where do we keep depth at? Who all will we try to stash on the practice squad? Here's my go at it

-QB (2) - Tannehill, Fales
-RB (3) - Drake, Gore, Ballage
-WR (5) - Parker, Stills, Amendola, Wilson, Grant,
-TE (4) - Gesicki, Smythe, Derby, Gray (FB/H-back too/emergency qb too)
- OL (9) - Tunsil, Sitton, Kilgore, Davis, James, Larsen, Young, Smith, Brendel

- DE (6) - Wake, Quinn, Harris, Hayes, Branch, Malveaux
- DT (4 ) - Phillips, Spence, Godchaux, Taylor
- LB (6 ) - McMillan, Alonso, Anthony, Allen, Baker, Poling
- CB ( 7) - Howard, Lippett, Tankersley, McCain, McTyer, Armstrong, Aikens
- S (4) - Jones, Fitzpatrick, McDonald, Smith
- K - Sanders
- P - Haack
- LS - Denney

Fairly realistic I think, a few things of note:
-I think Derby makes it, I think the team likes him but Escobar has a shot to make it, and Gray is too versatile to get rid of.
-RB cuts- I think Perry gets the axe to make room for other positions
-WR cuts are a hard one too, I could see Ford making it and I think Carroo's time is going to come to an end here, but I'd love for him to finally show the talent he had at Rutgers
-OL- Asiata could have a shot but I think lands on the ps. Sterup? Is he eligible for the ps??
-DL- Not much infront or behind those guys listed. I liked Malveaux's motor and potential, can play st and replace Fede
-LB- I know we just signed Garvin, so you could replace Poling with him I suppose and move QP to the ps, but I'm gonna roll with the rookie here. Bye bye Mike Hull. Frank Ginda to the ps? need to have some bodies there, his name sounds familiar I thnk from pre draft scouting?? could be totally off though
-DB- this is the spot that sparked the thread, from @nick1 comment's about all the corners making the team. I went with Armstrong over davis, could be either though. I think Smith makes the team as one of the main back up safeties since TJ will see the field a lot too. Aikens is a tweener for either spot

PS possibilities - Radcliff (rb), Ford (wr), Morgan (wr), Owusu (wr), Asiata (g), Sterup (t), Davis/Armstrong (cb),
....that's only 7, and not even sure of the eligibility of everyone, so who knows how the res tof that shakes out, but I could definitely see us keeping Garvin over Poling since he could stay on the ps for sure

Nice work. I know some guys are high on Derby though I just didn’t see it last year when they kept trying to get him the ball in the RZ. I could see Escobar over him OR go w 3 TEs and keep Perry and go w 4 RBs. Special teams value will come into play here somewhere.

As for Asiata I had forgotten about him. A bit of a disapppointment that he’s not in the running for meaningful playing time. You could be right about Carroo - a shame as I had hoped he would be a factor eventually. That TD he scored against SF two years back is my only recollection of him catching a ball.

Let’s hope we avoid the serious injury bug this year.

I agree it seems cuts will be tough this year. When this time of year rolls around, it makes me wonder why the league (with all the injury/ concussion concern) doesn't expand the roster. With all the talk about an 18 game season that comes around, an expanded roster would also help there. If you expand the roster, and drop one preseason game, the league could mandate each player has to sit ( or take a 2nd bye week ) during the season. That gives more revenue for the owners, without really lengthening the season.
I know, crazy talk!

no way you only keep 3 rbs, special teams always has a need, i like perry and or smith to stick

Pretty solid list. The only thing I would change is keeping 6 wr rather than 7cb. I think Ford will be to hard to cut, and won’t clear waivers, so he is kept and Armstrong is sent to the PS.

This team is getting deeper, and Gase has some tough moves to make. The last two seasons we were relying on UDFA to make the team at LB and o-line. I think we are starting to see the benefits of Grier running the draft and FA and Tannebaum sterling back a bit. Gone are the days of signing monster free agents and trading draft picks, and the result is less and less of a top heavy roster.

Not a bad list. I do think we'll carry 6 WR's and maybe only 3 TE's
Also, most likely we'll have one or two players make the 53 that are not on the team at this moment. Happens every year it seems but again, nice job.

From camp reports so far... I'm thinking Ford makes the cut, maybe axe a cb, or te- derby?

I think with the injury histories of DVP and Danny, you have to keep six receivers. Ford would be my pick if he stays healthy through camp/preseason. Carroo needs to go. Also think we keep 7 LB. Probably going to have to make a choice between McTyer/Armstrong, with the loser of that battle headed to the PS.

Otherwise, really solid list.
