If all these people wouldnt have picked us to go deep into the playoffs and the superbowl and such, we wouldnt feel so bad. I personally think daunte will be just fine, but it WILL take time. Remember how long it took last years teal to jell and start winning? Its about the same situation we find ourselves in now. Our secondary has all new starters, o-line has new starters (and injuries as well). Its very tough for a team to really come together in training camp, like i said before give it time. No more "the sky is falling" posts. If you step outside the box and look at it, we're going to have a qb of the future, a young, fast secondary. Just give them time to work, its a long season.

Speak for yourself...

Maybe I've been spoiled being a fan of a team with such a winning tradition because the bite of 0-2 isn't something I am very used too.

I know its a long season but still....0-2 sucks.:fire:

I do believe we will be 2-2 in two weeks however :D

Yep, we should be 2-2 heading into Week 5 against the Patsies.

0-2 is disappointing regardless of the hype, especially considering one of those losses is against the Bills, in Miami, in September.

And if the most we can hope for is a repeat of last year's performance then I'm not thrilled. Last year we missed the playoffs and ended up with a mediocre first round draft pick. That isn't a good year, especially for a team that's supposed to be getting better, not spinning its wheels or regressing.

i agree completely, we were overrated comming into the season and that doesnt mean that we arnt a good team but the high hopes led to big dissapointments but there is still plenty of time to come together and to start winning games soo we can get to where we want to be

Nope, 0-2 would feel bad even if we were picked to finish last.

Hate to burst your bubble. The problem is Daunte needs to adjust from being a mobile QB to a pocket passer. He isn't making that adjustment well and won't make it in time to salvage the season. The question is, how many games do we want to lose b/c of his poor play? I for one say that another 1/2 and then it's time to let Joey have a go of it. If Joey can't get the job done in 2.5 games, then I would go to Lemon. If he can't get it done, put Marcus Vick in there. I don't like sticking with QB's that are losing games for us.

Based upon what??? Daunte has showed nothing. He is playing horrible. Perhaps next year, after he heals up and gets mobile, I would give him another chance to compete for the starting job, but right now, he's almost played himself out of it IMO.

GO PHINS~!

thats why you could never be a coach. what about rotlisberger the other night? didnt he look bad too? give them time to work it out on the field. if he was completely healthy i'd agree with u, but comming off and injury its not the same.

Actually, I have been a coach, just not at the pro-level. I coached soccer and baseball. Of course, it was little league. Ha ha.

Anyway, Rothlesberger looked bad for one night. Culpepper looked bad for about six games last year, four preseason games, and two regular season games this year. Big difference.

Yup, at some point the proof is in the pudding. Just when is Daunte accountable for his actions, i'd really like to know that. The media has given him a free pass since day 1 while they're ripping up A-rod to shreds. The situations are eerily similar, but yet DC goes unnoticed.
