Others receiving votes: DeAngelo Hall, Redskins (9); Leon Hall, Bengals (6); Brandon Flowers, Chiefs (4); Joe Haden, Browns (4); Dunta Robinson, Falcons (4); Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Cardinals (4); Ronde Barber, Buccaneers (3); Terence Newman, Cowboys (3); Vontae Davis, Dolphins (2); Cortland Finnegan, Titans (2).

I'm not necessarily saying Vontae should take their places but McCourty and Grimes don't belong in the top 10 IMO.

McCourty definitely layed like a top 10 CB this past season. It's not like he just put up nice stats like Byrd did 2 years ago; he was great in coverage, especially against the deep pass and was very good at tackling and playing the run as well.

I have no idea how Deangelo Hall, DRC and Dunta Robinson got more votes than Vontae Davis though. People just pay attention to the stat sheet I guess.

I won't disagree here but it's not the list of NFL 100 greatest players of 2011. It's overall top 10 and I just don't see one seasons accomplishments as significant enough to put someone in the top 10 for their respective position.

i can't put McCourty on the list after just one year. i'd replace him with Leon Hall....and jay cutler should have gotten most of deangelo williams votes.

I think it is the current top 10 and based off of 2010 I think he belongs. Whether he keeps that up I don't know(I hope not) for a current list I have no problem w/ him in the top 10.

Well Revis is the natural choice it seems. He is awesome I admit! Hopefully Vontae will be up in the top ten or higher next time around.

Revis had 0 interceptions last year. I'm sure stats we not the only thing looked at.
