This is a draft projection of the top 10 picks without any trades. The rest of the draft will be coming soon. I made this with my friend so if you have any suggestions or comments I will take a look at them.
  1. Oakland –Calvin Johnson, WR-Georgia Tech
I believe that the Raiders will address their QB position, however I think they will address it in Free Agency or through a trade. Most likely I see them trading for Byron Leftwhich. Their WR core has several question marks (with moss and Porter) and a dynamic WR like Johnson doesn’t seem out of the question.
  1. Detroit – Joe Thomas, OT-Wisconsin
Kitna will be stopgap for another year, while They draft a proven Tackle to protect the him as well as add to a running game that averaged less than 4 yards a carry last year.
  1. Cleveland – JaMarcus Russel, QB- LSU
The Frye Experiment is over; the question now is Quinn or Russel. Sure there is a connection between Romeo and Weis (Quinn), however like last year’s draft (Wimbley) was based on potential and so will this year’s as they go with a potential loaded, big and strong Russel.
  1. Tampa Bay – Brady Quinn, QB- Notre Dame
Although there is a great chance Quinn could fall, I am going on a hunch that Tampa’s QB lows will influence a offensive minded Gruden to go after a elite QB prospect like Quinn.
Arizona – Jamal Anderson, DE- Arkansas
Offensive line is the team’s top priority but Levi Brown is the next best O-Line and doesn’t warrant this pick. New Coach Ken Wiesnhutt has a team with 4-3 personnel but there is a chance he could go 3-4, fast riser Anderson could play in either system and is a likely pick here.
  1. Washington – Alan Branch, DT- Michigan
Defense was average at best last year and Branch could come in right away and toughen up their run defense. If Branch is not selected here it will probably be Gaines Adams.
  1. Minnesota – Dwayne Jarrett, WR- USC
Workouts and interviews could influence this pick greatly. A Game Changer like Jarrett will help a depleted WR core, and help the progress of new QB Jackson.
  1. Houston - Adrian Peterson, RB-Oklahoma
The Texans will use this pick wisely and try to make fans forget about last year’s pick (Mario Williams). If Peterson is still around he has the skills to become a franchise Running back.
  1. Miami – Gaines Adams, DE/OLB- Clemson
We are surprised to see Adams this late and have a tough decision between him, Levi Brown and Leon Hall. We go with Best Person Available and select Gaines (possible Jason Taylor Replacement) now and address our offensive line and secondary needs in later rounds.
  1. Atlanta – LaRon Landry, S- LSU
A versatile Safety is a big time playmaker, his presence will help the pass and run defense improve. Hall from Michigan was a possibility but the Falcons will wait a little bit longer to see if Jimmy Williams pans out.
  1. San Francisco – Leon Hall, CB- Michigan
Hall’s skills can help an improving team immediately.

We need to go offense on our first pick our defense isnt just going to diminish in a year we were ranked 5th this year, yes they are getting older but thats not our main concern in my opinion

WOOP boy did i drop the ball I forgot about the Cardinals...Sorry people I will put them in my updated version in a few days....sorry

I don't think we go Gaines Adams with this pick because we already have Jason Taylor who dosen't look like he's slowing down. In the very unlikely event that we trade J.T. for a high pick than i could see us picking him as a 3-4 DE.

We have a gaping hole at SLB get real. This defense is losing it's NT and Vonnie Holliday. It is going to decline fast. Gaines Adams is a fantastic player and would be great.

Gaines Adams would be good for us for several reasons we could try him at SLB or DE whichever his is better at yet...
I said that about Jason because this offseason he was considering retirement so next season the chance of his retire is greater..
Besides it would be good to have Jason to teach him

oo your right and him potentially retiring is out of the question huh?

and leon hall sucks! dont like him either way. I like the idae of the OAK tho with leftwich.

Don't ya think the offense has been declining for some time. Wasn't the defense rated 5th in the league last year and the offense rated 26th or 29th? We used the 1st round pick on a defensive player last year. Its obvious the strength of the Dolphins is in their defense, but a defense alone can't win you very many football games.

That's just thinking in a short sighted manner...

If Dwayne jarret isnt there at our spot i dont see us takiing Ginn Jr at 9. So i think we will go defense but definitely not Dline Jason still has 2 good years and Matt Roth is becoming a starter. Fred Evans Rod Wright with Manny wright coming back with a good Veteran in there is not bad... But i do think we go secondary and the place we have the least talent is Safety so its either Laron Landry or Leon Hall.. And LB is also a concern but there are some pretty Quality LB coming out of Free agncy like Adalius Thomas and i think Lance Briggs...

Adams would play LB and those two you mentioned will be franchised. Is it so wrong to try to pick for the future. Look at our previous three first rounders. All decent considering where they were picked, but for example had we looked to the future we would have had Vince Wilfork at NT instead of Carey as RT.

TED GINN JR.! TED GINN JR.! if not, bring on WILLIS!

I agree. Ted Ginn JR. You need a guy that can change games and pose a threat. If Johnson were available because QB's go to Oakland and Detroit, that might be an opportunity to trade Chambers and McMichael for that 3rd pick. I don't see them staying much longer. I think that people have grown tired of McMichael's antics and his is not a team player.
