Left So Fla, never the Fins...
I’m sorry to appear so cynical…(ok, I am cynical), but some of the threads on this board are getting really old. It seems every player that is cast off, released, rumored to be released, says he wants to be released or traded, rumored to be traded is a perfect fit for the Fins according to someone out there. Sometimes, it might be better if you think about the player before you post, but since many of us don’t, here is an easy to follow template to use…
Top 10 Reasons why the Dolphins won’t be
signing/trading for (you insert name).
1. He’s too old, his best years are behind him and he’s on the decline in his play.
2. He doesn’t fit into (you insert scheme, i.e. 3-4, 4-3, WCO, H-back, #3 WR, OL blocking scheme, etc) we play here.
3. He will demand too much money for a player (who doesn’t fit the scheme, is too old, is too injury prone, is on the decline, etc)
4. The draft picks that he’ll demand from (blank) team is too high to pay for his services.
5. (Blank) team will never release/trade him, and if they do, it’ll be too high a price to pay.
6. He’s too injury prone.
7. He has never started anywhere, what makes you think he can start for us.
8. He’s too small to play the (blank) position for Tunaland.
9. He’ll demand too high a draft pick compensation and we should never give up so much for that player (you insert name). He’s just not worth what we might get in the draft with those picks.
10. He’s a cancer in the locker room or a thug that Tunaland won’t go after.
Now, the instructions are that you fill in the name of the player and start your thread. Choose the applicable numbered reasons why he won't be a Fin and if you are really good poster, you’ll can back up those reasons with specifics.
To show you how easy it is to use, I’ll start with Shawn Alexander…since he’s the latest name out there.
I say 1, 3, 5, and 6 for Alexander. That is why I don’t think he’ll be a Fin…see
how easy that was…
