[h=3]8. Laremy Tunsil, G, Dolphins[/h] Tunsil got a sizable test right off the bat with the Seahawks’ defensive line, and he delivered admirably. The former Ole Miss standout had some issues in pass protection, allowing a hit and two hurries, but that’s considered a drastic upgrade in Miami. It was the run game where Tunsil shined, earning the highest run-blocking grade of any rookie offensive lineman.

Tunsil did allow his guy to block that FG try thought.

Ozzy rules!!

Tunsil will be what we had hoped. Steen could be a diamond in the ruff. Imagine our luck if Steen proves to be a really good center?

Could save the team money in a year or two, but he does have his limitations...

we'll see. I'm not a Pouncey fan to be honest, not saying he isn't good or very good but just not special like I see in some centers around the league. That being said, if Steen works out we have at least a guard or back up center and any starting caliber lineman on this team is a plus. I was pretty happy with the pass pro now I want to see some run blocking so we can get some ground gains to soften the box.

I don't know if it's possible for a center bracketed by poor guard play to look great, which has been the case with Pouncey in recent years. We'll what it looks like when he gets back. I think some of the dislike of Pouncey from some people has more to do with non-football issues.

I think the poor guard play may be a very strong point...hope so. My real issue with him is that I never see a drop in performance when he's out regardless of guard play, kind of telling. I hope he comes back soon though, good problem to have.

I've never understood the love for pouncey either, for my money if I'm spending big money for a center, it needs to be someone who clears the way for running backs constantly. That ain't pouncey.

i love tunsil graded out ok in the run game.

future dolphins hall of fame offensive lineman (fingers crossed).

Pouncey is good on screens as he can use his speed(good for a center)but as far as run blocking he's just average. When he played guard that year he was horrible. I never could understand taking a center at 15. I mean even Stevenson was drafted in the 2nd round but ireland was a moron and then they give him an extension with a raise to make it even worse. We don't know what we got with Steen yet but I bet he'll give us 100% all the time and hopefully will stay healthy

Take a careful look at where Steen ends up on the first sack where there is a delay loop back to the center. He completely vacates the center of the pocket. He ends up outside of the right tackle. What is a center doing outside of the tackle when it is not a screen. Wow! That was a very badly blown assignment where Tunsil received the blame.
