Gonna try to keep it short so more people read it lol -_-

1. Wide Receiver - As stated before many times by many people including myself 6 weeks ago, we have the WORST wide receiver group in the NFL at the moment overall.. Show me a team that has a worse overall group, PLEASE.

2. Pass rushers - On defense, we simply don't generate any pass rush.. we generated some against Barfalo only..... We have 2 old possible HOF players who have obviously lost a step.. Langford and Merling are both pretty good at run defense but we have no future at pass rush with this group...

I'm gonna keep it this short because I think the same way as Sparano at this moment, we are a LOT better than our 3-5 record shows...

Add a pass rush and good wide receivers to the fins, and you have an elite team in my opinion.. Henne has been great so far and would have very good numbers if not for all the huge drops every game that kill drives completely...

Dont forget defensive backs...Davis and Smith have shown to be the future at the CB spots but we still need some safeties. Gibiril Wilson just isnt good in pass coverage.

I would add to that ILB and Safety. As for WR we need either through the draft or FA a Field streacher /Burner WR Like Moss. Right now no defense respects the fins passing game past 20 yards, so they can stack the box with 8 on most plays.

Ginn has the speed but cannot catch. If you could combine Ginns Speed with Bess's catch ability, That would be the WR the Fins need to streach the field and keep defenses honest.

Our lack of a true #1 Receiver shows up in close games like yesterdays game. Our D can hold there own but we cannot put up easy points like the Pats or convert a 1st down in a need to convert situation. I fell like the FO will spend all the $$$ on D but disregards on Offense. The way I see the league going its all gonna be offense soon. Hopefully we can get the #1 WR next year but look at the Free Agents WR for next year highly unlikely we will get any of them.

wr,wr,s

i am glad to see qb not on that list. its been a long time since we havent had that need

I don't think Crowder, gerbil, or Bell are as bad as some people on this board think.... but I do agree we could upgrade those spots.. I just don't look at either as a complete NEED right now.. Remember we got 2 rookie corners starting and no pass rush to help the entire secondary out...

1. A New DC is I think the most important part on the defensive side of this team.

2. A reliable WR does not even need to be a star just a guy that on 3rd down we can go to and know he will come up with the ball.

3. OC we need a new OC that does not look like an idiot half the time calling the plays. He goes and has a good 3-5 plays where your like ok he is getting it and then he goes into the wildcat on the 40 and makes Brown try to throw the ball. Which then in turn takes out all our momentum cuz its either going to be a loss of yards a dropped pass or some other type of disaster.

yea id sat 1-WR 2-ILB 3-safety. id really like to see us draft a ILB and WR high

WR's!!!!!! HENNE IS 2 WR's AWAY FROM TURNING INTO A TOP 5 NFL QB MARK MY WORDS!!!!!

I hope you are wrong about that last part because if we have the exact same wr next year with exact same results I will get really pissed and be calling for heads to roll.

New jersey's... yaaa new jewsey's.

. Just kidding :)

IMO, top 3 needs in this order.....
1. A stud TE will make Henne a better QB and make our WR better. Our WR have to remember how to catch the ball.
2. OLB a stud who is great against the run, can rush the passer and drop back into coverage when needed.
3. Veteran WR who can help the young kids along and be someone Henne can trust will catch the ball and run great routes.

If we fill those positions our offense will be explosive and our D will be able to stop folks. I like our secondary, with the rooks, but it will take time to gain experience.

I believe a stud TE is more important than a high pick WR. Our WR can get the job done but they need some help from the TE. If we had a TE that demanded double coverage, can go deep and be the outlet a QB needs, our WR would be open. I know they havent caught the ball this yr but last yr they caught everything thrown at them.....I believe they will be great catching receivers once again.....

Aren't y'all forgetting we have a fossil in for NT in Ferguson, when he is injured we can't stop the run and soon he will retire. I'm not denying that we are beyond in need of a number 1 wideout but if we dont get a franchise NT this 3-4 defense is not going to work. LB/S aren't pressing needs.

1. NT either Wilfolk (free agent) or Ndamukong Suh (draft) depending where we finish either pay the big bucks or move up in the draft to get this which will still cost top dollars.

2. WR should be addressed in free agency Brandon Marshall, Braylon Edwards (Henne's old college teammate), and Vincent Jackson are all viable options, we might have to overpay to get one of them to come but it is well worth it for Henne's development. Backup plan move up and get Dez Bryant, or hope Julio Jones falls.

3. Pass Rusher - I truly feel Cameron Wake has all the intangibles to be a dominate pass rusher but he has to have the ability to stop the run too Peppers and Kampman are free agents but not worth the money, however maybe Vanden Bosch would be worth a look if not definitely in draft one.

ok people are forgetting the purpose of this thread.....largest needs. Every team has places they would improve....and yes S has been a huge issue....but with the rest of the year for clemons to develop and the emergence of jones....I think bell and gibirl can alternate SS and clemons is our FS. Yes Solai is raw, but he mcdaniel and ferg can rotate and do a solid job. He was injured yesterday, and he hasnt played a full game yet. He has shown flashes, another guy that can develop.....

This being said our LBs and WRs are aweful. Channing can stay as one ILB, as can roth, and wake....however we need another ilb and pass rushing olb bad...And last but not least a WR or 2. These LARGER needs can be attacked in phases...FA and the draft. If history shows us how parcells works...he will spend a few picks on a need. I envision that to be LB 1st and 2nd, bc WRs take time to develop, and we wont have a high pick for the cant miss Wrs, maybe 3rd rd for WR. This being said, Parcells is going to have to suck it up and do something he does not like to do. GET WRs in FA.

I think this Path is the way to go to succeed next year. In the following years we can improve NT and S, but those arent the things that we have the largest hole at currently with wilsons improved play and the emergence of clemons. In the NFL DBs are at the mercy of the passrush in most cases.

Now more than ever these are the gaping holes, everyone from the waterboy to my gf who knows nothing of football can see this. We have to have hope Ireland and Parcells have the intestinal fortitude to address them NOW, even if it is out of thier comfort zone. Not doing so would be a disservice to the team and the fans.
