Top 5 Defenses?????

Yadda Yadda blee blah blee blahh blahh. What's that! It's a bird no it's a plane! No it's another sportscaster with an opinion!

It has been a long off season with the lockout, I can not wait until the season so there is actually fact to support the reporting again.

Forum - A meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.......If that's how you feel about opinions and you just want 'actual facts', why are you on here?

I left my comment, Lol

"Sapp what you smokin?! The NFL must give out free blow jobs to the Patsies...I believe their defense was ATROCIOUS Last year and one offseason will change that around will it?! Bull Bologna **** I think they forgot that the last time the Pats won a superbowl was 2003...but yet they are always the best team coming in every single year. Don't be fooled, they have a good Offense that carried them."

That being said they did have a lot of defensive touchdowns, but that does in part with teams being down 20 points early and forced to throw. NOT top 5 defense though, Period.

25th Ranked in yards last year, AND 25th Ranked in Points allowed Where the hell does TOP 5 ring in your ear for that one...

Edit: BTW if their offense wasn't so friggin amazing they would be 32nd ranked...Easily

Why does anybody even care what Warren Sapp says? Good football player...but hardly a football genious.

Being big and fast as a defensive lineman does not make him a brain surgeon or an expert on grading the NFL's 32 defenses.

the Patriots were actually 8th in points allowed; the Phins were 12th I believe. i nseveral games (Cincy, Pitt, second Jets game), the opposing offenses racked up a ton of yardage because of how far behind they fell resulting in the Pats playing more prevent defense.

I'm not about to declare NE an elite defense, but there is a lot to like about it going into this season. The secondary is better with Bodden back, the dline looks much better even without Haynesworth and by adopting a more attacking 4-3 approach and moving Mayo to weakside OLB the overall pass rush looks to be better. A lot of it hinges on the development on the young players, but so far they've all been having good camps.

Yeah I saw what I did, When I had the stats on NFL.com I clicked to ranked the points allowed and it had it from most ppg to least, so yeah My bad. Atleast half of what I said was right ;) Lol

I'll admit my faults!! Thanks for pointing out my Mistake ^^b

Ok ESPN and NFLN we get the point, just hand the trophy to New England already.

Wow... 3 of the top 5 defenses in one division lol.

tom brady helps out your defense tremendously. it offers the defense to just play back while teams play catchup throwing the ball and causing INT's to occur. example. vs. dolphins both games where special teams plays bigger role in outcome along with the offense.

Our hope this year is that our offense controls the ball and clock wearing teams down so the defense is well rested and lays the heat on!
a tired defese has breakdown written all over it when an offense is on a roll.

another thing. how the hell can you let sanchez beat you?
