once again, special teams and chad henne Int's did not help this defense. I believe 21 points if not more could be attributed to that.

I genuinly believe that there are 6 Defenses that will be elite this year with the Dolphins included. Which order im not sure, but the six will be:-

Bears - Dolphins - Jets - Packers - Ravens -Steelers

I think there are alot of reasons that the pats defense could be very good. They were very young last year and added some pieces. They have the best middle linebacker in the league some solid dline depth and a great corner to build on. Its not a big reach to think they will be much better thuis year

That being said they did have a lot of defensive touchdowns, but that does in part with teams being down 20 points early and forced to throw. NOT top 5 defense though, Period.

25th Ranked in yards last year, AND 25th Ranked in Points allowed Where the hell does TOP 5 ring in your ear for that one...

Edit: BTW if their offense wasn't so friggin amazing they would be 32nd ranked...Easily

When did they sign Pat Willis? The best MLB in the game is quite a comment.. A great Corner to build on what does that even mean?... Dlocz i used to understand you....

best middle linebacker in the league?? lol. sounds like your talking more about the dolphins than the pats

no frickin way that where they said thats where the pats was needing help at was on defence and said they did nothing to upgrade it i heard it on sports ill so this is bullchit you know what ? we need to come out tonite and just way lay Tampa i mean rip there hearts out and show it to them before they hit the ground.
 
We've been hearing about this since the Patriots won their last SB, and yet it's never happened. Everybody's defense becomes better when they get large leads, resulting in a team having to abandon the run to play catch up. When that's not the case, NE defense isn't good, and hasn't been for a while.

Did Dlockz really just say NE has the best MLB in the league? LOL.

Yes it does when Henne continuously gave opposing teams GREAT field position with his timely INT'S and the offensive TO'S
 
If we are to have a GENUINE top 6 Defense then we need to start making some big plays.

29th / 32 in turnovers last season and anyone who follows football knows how turnovers decide games. I'd rather be top 6 in turnovers and below average in yards against. A stingy D is good but last year our D didn't scare anybody. We ended up getting beaten by below average QBs simply because there was never any danger of them coughing the ball up multiple times like they did against everybody else. It's been quite a few years since this team was a genuine threat to score on the defensive side of the ball

So Warren Sapp was on a forum when he was presenting his opinion? No he wasn't was he.

You blast Sapp in your fist post in this thread about his opinion and then blast me for wanting factual reporting on ESPN/NFL a NEWS network.
