was reading another post and got me wondering who has been our bet 5 picks in the ast 3 years.
would have to go Pouncey RT,Vernon than I get lost

If in rounds 2-4 your best pick in the last 6 years is either Misi or Hartline, then you know you suck as a GM. Add in that he has failed to draft 1 elite player in round 1.

I see your point, but at a certain time, Jake Long was the best LT in the game. Mike Pouncey is also elite for his position. Jared Odrick has also been very solid. The only first rounder he missed on was Vontae Davis, and he is a solid B at corner.

Long didn't help us win anything, was often hurt, cost a fortune and is no longer on this team, he was never the right pick at #1. Pouncey is good, not great and was drafted too high, has character and legal issues. Odrick is solid, but we passed over elite talent to draft him. Again if these are the bright spots, you have failed as a GM.

Wow talk about taking a negative outlook on that entire post. Long was an elite LT. Pouncey is a top 3 center, so I'm not sure what classifies as "great" in your opinion, and I agree with your opinion of Odrick, but bottom line is that he's a good player, and whatever talent we missed on to get him doesn't change that.
 
I thought for sure there would be a much better response to this topic
