If I had to pick 3 outside we realistically could sign:
  1. 20. Jeff Blake
  2. 28. Wayne Gandy
  3. 50. Brian Mitchell

With an alternative combination being...

Gandy
Colvin or Simmons and
Victor Green...

but anyway you look at it...if Petigout gets franchised...
we have our eggs in Gandy's basket.
 
I think he has Plummer and Douglas a tad high, lol.

I would take:

Mitchell (I think he could win two games for us by himself, with the phins always in close games, a big time returner would be huge

Gandy

Hilliard.

Finneran w/b a younger alternative to OG, if we cannot re-sign OG :up:
 
I would like Finneran. I think Atlanta would be dumb to let him walk, he's all they have and developed good chemistry with Vick.

The good news is the article states that LB, S, and OT are the strongest positions which is what we need. Then, we sign a WR and draft one in the 2nd round or just take the best available football player.
 
Don't forget all the cap casualties that will add to the list.

tis true that this is an impatient discussion since there are 6 periods to acquire players:
  1. early/highly sort after UFA - early March
  2. pre-draft stragglers mid-April
  3. the draft
  4. undrafted rookie FA
  5. June 1 cuts
  6. cap casualties still unsigned when camps open

    we're really talking about #1 or maybe 2 at the most now
