We will go after Clements, Brees, and Peterson. More than likely we will get one of them barring them getting franchised.

Wow waas that merge 133386418145664897 times already

i like the thought of going after peterson, and clements but i'm not so sure about brees i mean the guy can play but would his arm strength and intangibles fit our offensive scheme

Peterson and Brees I'm pretty sure they will franchise Clements..probably Peterson too though.

mostly all of those guys are going to get the franchise tag..

two that arent that we HAVE to go after is steve hutchison , and reggie wayne

CB we gotta get in the draft..

QB Drew Brees will sign a long term deal with the chargers. Rivers will be traded
OLB Julian Peterson old, but still good. many teams will be after him.
DE John Abraham will cost a fortune. but will help any team he goes to.
CB Nate Clements will be resigned by the bills, or franchised and traded for a 1st
OG Steve Hutchinson
CB Charles Woodson over rated BUM. but probubly a good pick up for the fins.
WR Reggie Wayne Over rated, #3 WR. the fins dont need him.
My comments in BOLD.

the only players i think the fins should go after is Hutchinson and Woodson.
maybe Peterson also.

Clements would be a HUGE addition to this team - but never going to happen.

Peterson would be nice if Seau retires, otherwise we are set there.

Wayne is good but I think he is a #2 and we have a roster full of those.

Brees would be a nice addition.

Hutchinson would be great.

we dont need Drew, John Abraham, or Charles Woodson. Charles is old, we already have Defensive ends, and Drew Brees is entering his 7th? year (We need a YOUNG QB). We could use Nate Clements cuz he is a solid CB, we could use Julian Petersen because he is only a 6th year (for OLB thats fine), and we could SURELY use Steve Hutchinson.

If Clements can be had without a trade (doubtful)

I'd also like Rocky Bernard of the Seahawks. He would fit into the rotation nicely.

Saban has mentioned Peterson on many occassions about what an impact he can have on the game. It seems like he loves this guy - if available that would be a no brainer. Lose Seau's salary and apply it to Peterson. I don't see how SF loses him - no way. In my opinion he would be #1 on this list. Next would be Clements BUT he will be WAY too expensive I believe. I think there is a good chance Buff lets him go because he will wnat so much money.

As far as Brees goes c'mon folks this would be a huge upgrade at QB. It won't happen unless SD falls on their face and does not make the playoffs. Rivers would be a big mistake if we had to give up much.

We don't need Wayne - how many #2 type of WR's do we need? We need a #1 WR and he ain't that.

I wouldn't say he's talked about Peterson "on many occasions" Just one occasion that I've ever seen and it was a quick mention that according to Saban's system of defensive performance tracking, Peterson got the highest single game score he's ever coached back at Michigan State once.

Many franchise tags to go around, I don't see heavy money being allocated to the receiver position so no Reggie Wayne IMO, and I don't know why it's so obvious to me yet not obvious to anyone else that it would be a cold day in heck before Phil Rivers got traded anywhere. Drew Brees will walk. He did pretty good last year, and he's doing ok this year, but the Chargers still aren't an elite team right now and they likely feel that they should be the way LT is playing. Not that I'm saying Brees is doing a bad job over there but there's room for improvement and they have a #4 pick in the draft in order to get that improvement going so I think they're going to use Mr. Rivers to execute that offense. It just seems so obvious to me whereas for some reason everyone is thinking Rivers will get traded. Weird.

Personally I don't see anyone on that list ending up in Miami unless heck freezes over and the 49ers don't franchise Julian Peterson.

reggie wayne has peerless price written all over him if he signs somewhere else.

I definitely disagree with that. People should have seen the Peerless thing coming. He was a one-dimensional player. If you really looked at that offense, you would see that Price was a one-dimensional player and Moulds was the multi-dimensional guy. We all knew that. He was Albert Connell to Moulds' Michael Westbrook...Alvin Harper to Michael Irvin.

Look closely at the Colts offense and you notice a number of things:

1. They haven't had an easy time finding a valid #2 receiver. They've cycled everyone from E.G. Green to Jerome Pathon, Troy Wilkins, etc...including the young Reggie Wayne. They didn't get that dynamic 2nd guy until Wayne entered his 4th year as a WR (the money year, if you ask receivers coaches...the year they can put it all together).

2. Wayne is not the one-dimensional guy in that offense. If you really look at it, Harrison looks more one-dimensional than Wayne does. They are both multi-dimensional because Wayne makes spectacular, physical catches but also gets behind defenders easily, while Harrison gets behind defenders and runs extremely well and finds the soft spots really well. But honestly if I had to pick the guy who likely couldn't be the same outside of the Colts offense, I would say it is Marvin Harrison...not Reggie Wayne. Remember, that offense did not become the explosive force that it is today until Reggie Wayne really came into his own. Those are Peyton Manning's own words.
