Croyle - Gamer, bigtime arm, good accuracy, good pocket awareness, sees the field doesnt force the plays that arent there. Stats wont blow anyone away which means you actually have to have done your research and seen the guy play. Hes on his 3rd OC in 5 years (2 of which were shortened by injury; ACL and fluke shoulder injury on a tackle after TO) Probably late 2nd, early 3rd
Brady Quinn - Pretty much the same as Croyle without some injury concerns but may not decare. I also hold the fact that he will probably be a 1st round pick against him. Whether that makes sense to you or not I dont care. My logic behind it is twofold; A) I dont believe we will go with a QB in rd 1 (which leads to point B) B) I dont think we go Qb in rd 1 because Qb's command a high signing bonus, tend to sit on the bench for at least a year. To me 1st round picks are expected to make an immediate impact, thats why they get paid more. If a player is going to be sitting for at least a year I dont want to see him sitting and judging by the way we QB shopped this winter I tend to believe that Nick will take on a similar philosophy. In adittion by taking a QB in rd 1 you also give in to the fact that that player will command a higher price tag for his position and for QB that can be quite cap consuming. In other words Id rather see us get a couple years of cheap labot from the qb position to make sure the guy is actually good and than if the qb is worth it than dish out the loot to keep him.
Drew Olsen - I expect him to rise up draft boards post combine. Hes having a great SR season for a program that spent much of the last few years rebuilding. Hes got a good arm/accuracy.
