I have never seen a team spend so much money and get so little in return. And if they add Nomar it will be even worse.

Overbay is the only guy they got that I like. But they overpaid for Burnett and Ryan.

I don't understand this team at all. Everyone thinks they are going to be very good next year. Maybe I am missing somethnig.

I disagree with your comments about Nomar. Obviously its not the same Nomar that was on the Sox in 1998/99 however Nomar can still flat out hit. Moving him to 3rd, 1st or the OF may be the best thing for him to keep him healthy. A healthy Nomar is still a good hitter.

3rd or 1st maybe......not the outfield. He won't even play 70 games if he is moved to the outfield. He will breakdown fast.

Now Toronto wants to add Milton Bradly. LOL....I don't get it.

It is curious, Mike, for sure. You'd think in a division like that they'd spend on sure things, not a career 49-50 starter and a closer with what, 42 career saves?

Nomar was a juice head and now his body is broken down. He should be a poster boy for the juice age along with Sosa, Palmeiro, and McGwire!

While I don't doubt that he was on juice, Al "POS" Reyes drilling him in the wrist didn't help either. I think a combination of both led to his demise as a superstar.

I have faith in my Jays even though the moves look a little questionable now I put faith in J.P Ricardi and I think even though Ryan and Burnet our overpaid they will still produce and give us a good pitching staff for once.

I've been shaking my head daily at what the Jays are doing.

The owner's said they wanted to increase payroll over the next 2 years...I guess that means they were going to spend it reagrdless...even if it meant overpaying for decent players.

I'm thinking it would have been a better idea to spend the money when the free agent's were actually worth the money.

The Jays can increase there payroll to 80,000,000 and get quality players and it still won't help them, have we forgotten there in the same division with a 200,000,000 and 150,000,000 payroll teams.

after numerous years of underspending due to budget constraints - i laud all the moves so far - 3 players that will help the team regardless of any overspending - i'll take them...

I used to follow the Jays religously but then the strike turned me off the game, and the team keeps changing its uniform...

OFF TOPIC: You guys have an awsome National Anthem; better than ours(which should be God Bless America.)
