First, I want to say that I can't remember when I've seen a sorrier performance. Even the DL, which is easily our best unit, suffered from a lack of dedication and motivation. The only exception is Mike Wallace, who clearly showed some fire. In particular I want to point out five people who clearly **** the bed in this game.

1) Lamar Miller. When called upon to be the bell cow, he continued his trend from week one of losing his feet as soon as the ball touched his hands, whether he caught it or not (the latter was unfortunately common). When our supposed starter is our 4th best RB, consistently, he has to go.

2) Ryan Tannehill. Seriously, guy, I don't know what the hell is wrong with you, but these high throws on short passes have to stop.

3) Cameron Wake. I can't believe I'm saying this, but he was the worst defensive lineman playing today. Just a dismal performance all the way around.

4) Coach Philbin. First of all, your title is Head Coach, not Offensive Coordinator. Stay the **** away from the offense, since you clearly Shermanize it. Second of all, I don't know what it is about Buffalo that is your kryptonite, because it's certainly not their exotic schemes, but you need to pull your head out of your ass and prepare for this game. Not only that, but show some damned fire and aggression.

5) Front Office. Keeping Lamar Miller over Daniel Thomas was just dumb. Miller showed nothing last year as the bell cow, which hasn't changed, and he's acquired a case of stumbleitis. At least Daniel Thomas can can touch the football without falling down for no damned reason.

Great post. Would read again. Sigh!

Oh, and for the record: falling down for no damned reason is not only perfectly acceptable, but worthy of admiration. See: Hartline, Brian.

D Thomas= L miller, both subpar. We need a bruiser type Fullback to blow up some holes.

Great post and I really can't disagree with anything you said

Actually, when you take away the special teams gaffes, it was actually a close game. Wake was neutralized because the Bills were able to effectively mix run and pass. EJ Manuel didnt spend much time in the pocket as hks receivers were able to get open quickly.
This is the type of game where the team needed a franchise type QB to make some unbelievable throws to keep the score close. However, for the 2nd week in a row RT left at least 14 points on the field. Granted his receivers didnt do him any favors and dropped several crucial passes, but RT was off target on 2 potential TD passes.

Lamar Miller does indeed suck, but Daniel Thomas is worse.

Sorry, but no. I pointed out leading up to the draft that he wasn't a bruiser, that's not the type of back K-State produces, but apparently nobody listened. The coaching staff never learned that, either. More than that, K-State runs a zone-read offense, which is a perfect schematic fit for Daniel Thomas.

You can't remember seeing a sorrier performance? How about the game in Buffalo last year? Or the 37-3 loss to Tennessee in 2012.
