Toub

i preferred toub over fisher before todays drama

Me too. He's been my 1st choice the whole time. Special teams coaches take raw athletes and turn them into football players. From everything I know about Toub he's big on fundamentals, he's innovative, and players seem to want to play for him. He's very respected around the league so he'd probably be able to put together a pretty good staff. Go get him, if he wins, nobody will care that they had never heard of him prior to Jan. 2012.

And yet we are the only team to interview him for a head coaching job and Andy reid has never tried to hire him in higher position
What do you mean higher position? The guy coaches that unit to first in the league year in year out... Ever heard of if it aint broke, dont fix it...?

Why? What makes him ready, what has he done? Not much as far as I can see but I don't know anything other then what I see written.
His unit as been elite in every category of special teams for a long while now... He's the best at what he does...

All the assistant coaches are crap shoots, so you don't know for sure how they will turn out. Toub has been successful in his position, and is well respected by the fans and coaches he works for. What does a guy like Philbin or Zimmer have over him?

Higher position than special teams coach like a coordinator spot.

if he is so awesome why are we only team interviewing him

they have been better at a higher poistion as a coach

If your trying to say Toub is a better candidate than Philbin or Zimmer you're crazy. They are all crap shoots, Zimmer and Philbin are just as highly respected by players and coaches as Toub. I'd think both Zimmer and Philbin could build better staffs than Toub.

I'm sure in three years we will be right back to where we are now.

He is a coordinator, special teams. And his unit is always top 5, every year! Billichek was a DC, are the Pats dominating the AFC east with defense these days ?

You gotta think though.. out of the candidates, who has done the most with the least amount of talent... Taub has had the best kick return specialist (Hester) so it kinda scares me that maybe Hester and Knox too make this guy look better than he really is.. Zimmer to me has crafted a very underrated Bengals D with quality players but no true superstars (And even lost Jonathan Joseph this past year). I like Zimmer PLUS keeping Daboll who I think has excelled with Matt Moore.

Zimmer or Toub? Zimmer 365 days a week. Easy ****ing choice.

Yeah but thats the thing, his unit isnt just great at returning kicks and punts, they're also great at blocking punts and field goals, best coverage unit too... I mean, His UNIT is ELITE in every aspect of special teams...

belichek earned his job by being a top defensive coordinator please dont tell me that teams hold thier offensive coordinator defensive coordinator and special teams coach in the same regard. if that was true oc's and dc's would get paid the same and they dont. Only one guy has ever been hired from special teams coach to head coach and nobody else is looking at Toub as coach. not saying it isnt possible but overall nobody looks at being special teams coach as the natural next step to head coach.

True but still kinda makes me wonder.. so what? ya know, cool so the guy can set up blocks once every 4 games, how does that equate to being the head coach of a 53 man roster. I'm all for something new but I think we don't know enough about this guy... yet

i guess if you like the needle in a haystack candidate this one is right up your alley
