Tough 6 game stretch from 9/25-11/6...5 of 6 on the road!!!!

If this team wants to compete you have to make Cleveland and Denver gimmes. KC is talented but I don't think they'll surprise anyone this year, hoping we win that one, which would leave Jets, Chargers, Giants. If we could win only one of those games, it needs to be the Chargers or Jets. AFC wins are crucial - the 7 out of the first 8 games are against the AFC, and we need to escape this stretch with 5 wins.

We need to resurrect a little of that Road Warriors magic from last year again. We've proven we can win some tough away games (@MIN, @OAK, @GB, @NYJ). It's a pretty BS schedule, but they have to man up and go full throttle, because those long flights home after a tough loss can't feel good.

Yea, Cleveland is a real lock. :rolleyes2: Get real. They beat us at home last season just a few regular season games ago. That team will be improved as well.

And dont sleep on Denver. I think John Fox will have that defense greatly improved. Last season, their problem was not offense so much as it was having the worst D in the league. With Dumerville coming back from injury and adding Von Miller, John Fox will not let that defense be near the bottom this time around.

LMAO nothing like a little faith. It must suck to think your team is a 0-8 / 1-7 team after week 8(And before you get pissy, I'm extrapolating of course, if we cant beat Cleveland or Denver we have no shot against any of the other teams).

We will agree to disagree.

Tough stretch but if Miami is thinking about that now, NEwill murder us in wk 1

Are people really expecting the Browns to be good? Like honestly? I cannot see it for the life of me, how they even stand a chance this year.

And this is the first I've heard of Broncs being tough, most people have this as one of our few, 'easy' W's.

But SD, KC and the Yets will be tough games, all on the road. Those 3 games with define our season, to me. And TBH I hadnt included the NYG as anything special, basically mediocre, but the thrashing they just gave da bears was hard not to see lol. So might as well throw them into the hard road game category too.

So I say we have 2 auto-locked up, and we have a legit shot at any of the others, none are world beaters or SB contenders IMO.

After week 8 we are 6-2, or the very least 5-3.
Cleveland will surprise a lot of people. Colt McCoy is a solid QB and he's going to take a huge step this year as the leader of that team.

Denver sucks, San Diego we've always played tough and I really believe that one could go either way.

If we go 3-3 or better in that stretch I'd be pretty happy. All of those games are winnable but the only game that should be counted on as a team we're clearly better than is Denver...but then we lost a lot of games last year to teams I thought we were clearly better than (like Cleveland, Detroit and Buffalo down the stretch).

well. we're def beating the jets....sparano 3-1 vs.sexy

You can never tell with our ball club. That's why it's so frustrating to watch and try and predict. we hang tough and beat some team we're touted to lose against. Then lay eggs against teams we should beat. We've been so consistent and being inconsistent.

When I look at the schedule it's easy to think "tough schedule" based on last years squads. This is a new year and anything can happen. Every team is 1 injury away from failure and collapse. The shortended season is going to play into teams performance for sure, and players over all football health as well. Lets see how we compete against the Pats. Even if we lose, if we hang tight with them and compete, then any team on that schedule should be beatable.

With our defensive line pressuring Brady we have a shot. I'm sure there are a lot of returning players looking to avenge the embarrassing losses to them last year.

And when you consider the possibility of us being a 1 win team going into that Denver game, dont be so certain that wont be almost a pick em. If we are a one win team at that point, it completely changes the dynamic of the game. It could already be a sinking ship at that point.

Lots of things can happen with this season. We need to come out and beat NE in week one to set the tone.

Exactly, IDK why people keep saying CLE is a lock. There are no "lock" games in the NFL. Not to mention CLE has beaten Miami 3 straight times, one of which Miami didn't even score.

These homers are out in full force after beating the lowly Panthers we're now talking like we're Super Bowl contenders. You're in for a huge reality check soon. Does the team have potential to be good? I can see this team be good and I can also see them be bad. It all depends on Henne; if he's the same old **** we saw last year we're in for a long season. If Henne has a decent season, then we're contenders for a wild card spot. But decent isn't good enough and should not stop us from drafting a first round QB. It's franchise QB or bust this year for Henne.

After that stretch ....

We could be talking playoffs ... or we could be talking Tebow trade.

Please ... let it be playoffs!!!

Speaking of the first four weeks, if someone set the over/under at two wins, I'm putting a grand on the under.

I think we start the season 1-3, and then we're in full-on implosion mode. At best, we're 2-2 and gearing up for another mediocre season.

9/25 @ Cleveland
10/ @ San Diego
bye
10/17 @ jets
10/23 vs. denver
10/30 @ giants
11/6 @ Kansas City

This will be a brutal stretch for us and could actually define the season, 5/6 games on the road will be tough and none of these games will be cake!

I actually disagree....I see the first 5 games as the defining games.

Patriots and Texans out of the gate...two teams that have given us a hard time lately...Texans are 5-0 lifetime against Miami.

The Browns on the road might be the only game we are favored to win. Then comes a Road game against the Chargers.

We could easily be 1-3 going into the bye week....having to then travel to New York to face the Jets.

A 1-4 start would put a fork in this team in my opinion.

So....I would say those are the defining games.

If we go into the bye 1-3, I don't think we beat a quality team the rest of the year. We might beat some bad teams by just being more talented, but I think this team implodes with a bad start - much the way they did the last few weeks of last season.
