E12 FH Tailgate Gang
Dolphins fans at the stadium were happy that we won a tough game yet FH is all doom.
The injury to Tannehill is very sad and upsetting and just when I thought he really could be the one. It was devastating to him as well. I can only wish him speedy recovery and hope that he also will heal mentally. Because we all know that while the body heals an injury like that can wreak havoc on someones confidence.
Opposite to FH the team and fans down here already rallied around Matt Moore. When he walked onto the field he got a nice round of applause. Of course the paranoid fan next to me thought initially that they cheered because they wanted Moore to be the QB until I explained to him that the applause was more of a confidence booster. Just as Tannehill got his applause when he was walking off the field and out of the stadium. The young guy had an "ahhhhhhhaaaaaaa" moment.
For those who supported Tannehill from day one and for those who came around this year (like me) he will be back next year. Maybe even better and stronger and when he is healthy he will be the starter again regardless of what happens in the next 4 weeks.
A little while ago I read a nasty post in the game day thread. That will not happen here. Making fun or joking about an injury like that is no joking matter to me. These people have no business being on FH.
And to those who simply think that the season is done and have nothing better to do then making that opinion known in several posts in short succession: neither the Dolphins season is over nor is Tannehill's.
The fans down here at least will rally around Moore and the rest of the Phins because at 8-5 we are in a good position to make a run for the playoffs. I hope fans on FH will do the same. The team will rally around Moore and Tannehill will, after a few days digesting his tough injury, be a factor on the sideline. His leadership will be required for everybody to pull through.
This issue is not Moore vs Tannehill. This is about our starting QB having suffered a season ending injury and the backup having to replace him. And I expect everyone of you to support the Dolphins as I have the 4 years I criticized Tannehill.
Now is the time to see what kind of franchise we are, how good Gase and Co are and if we as Dolfans can come together and support our favorite team in a time when they need us the most.
