This was a guy I wanted Miami to go after in FA why are we not signing him. He is better than Sean Smith and Richard Marshall and has won a superbowl and made the play to win the Superbowl for the Saints. This is the type guy we need on our Defense a winner.

Nobody is beating down his door to get him, that should tell you enough. Not even his former team, which could use pass defenders. If that weren't enough, you might notice that the Saints are in a lot of trouble and he may face discipline himself. That probably scares teams and rightfully so. And if THAT weren't enough, you are overvaluing his skills. He's physical but very suspect in coverage and only had two interceptions in the last two years combined - 1 in each year.

Maybe a smart FO wants to see how many games he might be suspended because of "bounties" until they offer him a contract? Seems like half the highlights on NFL network have him on it when talking about the Saints bounty problem.

Fact: Dolphins didn't bring back Will Allen and they need a Nickel CB.
Fact: If Richard Marshall is going to play nickel then that leaves us with no real SS and nothing but 3 backups vying at FS.

Porter is a solid #2 option, but my guess why he hasn't been signed, $$$.
I am pretty sure he is trying to hold out for a deal that pays upwards of $5 million per year.

i think the reason porter is still on the street is medical...i think he's had some shoulder or upper body issues that have been nagging him for a while...i don't think he's healthy...if he was i think we'd be hearing more interest...and yeah i'd absolutely be interested
I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion.
Porter played a lot of nickel corner for the Saints and allowed 52 completions on 71 pass attempts. That's a 71.2% completion rate. Maybe it's because he battled various injuries the last couple of seasons but Porter really has not played that well to say that he is better than any DB.
