people saying that Palmer has retired..... id still hold off saying that issue is entirely dead.. palmer has not submitted retirement papers.... this guy could show up any day to Bengals camp and force the issue.

if i was palmer... i would show up to camp on the last possible day and pull a BM... throw picks left and right.... act hurt....etc.
worse case.. you dont get traded and your collecting 11 million as a backup...

And for the record, Carsons issues, I firmly believe, are more a product of Cincys dysfunction then his lack of ability.

I still think hes a premiere qb. Look at what he did when Ocho and TO were out last year.

If you watched Palmer play at all in the last 2 years, particularly the 2009 playoff game against the Jets, and you still think that he is worth a high draft pick then you are totally on crack. We're MUCH better off taking one of the first round qbs next yr if Henne doesnt pan out this yr... Not much of an if but we need all the picks we can get if we want a shot at Luck.

These moves would not make you a contender this year, Palmer is all but through, There are no better QB options than the QB you already have.
 
Hate to tell you this but Palmer hasn't been the same player since he got his knee popped against Pittsburgh in the playoffs years ago. He's been in decline for about 3 years now and he's thrown 33 INTs in the last two years (should be one more INT and one less TD if not for Chris Clemons popping a sure interception up for T.O. to score on). No doubt he's an upgrade from Chad Henne but to think he would last 5 years or we would contend for 5 years with him is highly doubtful. That window would be more like 2 years...maybe 3 and then you're back to square one at the QB position and still drafting at 12-19 in the draft.
 
Why the HELL does eveyone want to trade Starks?

I know he has trade value, but IMHO his value is much higher to the team on the DLINE.
