Trade a late round pick for Asante Samuel?

I think he would KILL our salary cap.

Where he went to school has nothing to do with where he will play. He will play wherever he is traded to.
 
Would jump on that deal in a heartbeat if it weren't for his salary. His salary is the main sticking point. Even if we could clear the space I think bringing in any high salary guy could create tension with Wake looking for more money.
 
They have already made moves at the CB position for much less money, they will not make a move like this.
 
Too much money, would rather go after players that fill more pressing needs RT, WR, RG , etc.
 
Compensation is minimal. Like others have said, the cap hit would be to high. No way this happens w/ Long and Wake needing deals done.
 
Big mistake we are going to be fine at corner and his salary is a big problem.
 
Stupid post.....he will take twice the cap space we have available. And besides, Ireland doesnt overpay.
 
Too much money, he played at Boyd Anderson which is in Fort Lauderdale though. I think he'd be interested in playing for the fins.
