With this being one of the deeper draft classes in a long time I think a number of our players could be used to either move up in rounds or gather additional compensation in a deal tomorrow. Lets take a look at some of the players that could get a surprise phone call on draft night.

1. Matt Moore - He could still net us late rounder or be used to sweeten the pot should we look to move up

2. Rashad Jones - With the game changing talent at S likely available for the Dolphins at 19, should they select a Calvin Pryor and turn around and try to deal their underachieving pro bowler for additional picks?

3. Brian Hartline - Much in the same vain as the S discussion, should the Phins decide to go for a wideout in rounds 1 or 2, Hartline suddenly becomes very expendable.

4. Last and most controversial Cameron Wake - He isnt getting any younger and this team has an abundance of talent and youth backing him up. Why not ship him to a team like Atlanta when they miss out on Clowney. We get the draft position we covet to take the Tackle we so desperately need and an additional pick early in the 2nd at 37. Maybe a 4th as well.

Wake is your bait to get that 2nd - been saying it with a few others for months - he is cap friendly this year and makes sense for a team one player away -

Reshad is over payed - Hartline is not going to fetch much as is Moore

Hartline isn't going anywhere. Jones and Moore would have already been sent away if there was an offer and it won't certainly occur draft night. We'll either move up a few spots or down a bit more than a few spots if whomever they want is either gone or reachable without giving away the farm. That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

Of those you suggested only Wake makes any sense. Moore is a free agent next year, we will get no value for him so we might as well keep him.

Hartline was just resigned and in this WR rich draft nobody wants a WR 2 who costs veteran money ... and he is clearly Tannehill's best and favorite WR, we would be very foolish to destroy that.

Rashad Jones just got signed to a big contract and underperformed ... no value there.

No, the guys with value are Olivier Vernon, Dion Jordan, and Mike Pouncey. I doubt we let any of them go.

For the last time, we are not traded Jones and absorbing that massive hit

Moore maybe.. Jones and Hartline won't be going anywhere

Won't get much, if anything at all for him, but could be a possibility.

I don't think they are willing to give up on Reshad this early, but if Miami does go with Pryor tonight, very good possibility by tomorrow we hear Jones has been traded.

Getting rid of Tannehill's favorite receiver would be a very dangerous move...very doubtful.

Miami may already have their much younger pair of DE ready to take over in Jordan and Vernon, but for now having a rotation of Wake, Jordan and Vernon does appeal to the coaches, so a team will have to make an offer that is too good to resist.

I think Moore is a possibility if anything is offered, Wake and Jones if the right offer is made, and very doubtful on Hartline.

Hartline over $10 million in dead money
Jones over $13 million in dead money
Wake over $10 million in dead money..........not going to happen for any of the above players

Only one that I see even remotely possible would be Wake and for nothing less than 2nd round value. If they did it they are gambling that Jordan is ready to take over.

I don't think your number for Wake is accurate. While it's true that there would be some dead money due to his prorated signing bonus, it's more like 4.5 million. Any team trading for him would be paying salary portions and bonuses going forward, not the Dolphins.
