Wake is our best player, and my favorite Phin. I love his intensity and the ability to make plays when they matter.

However, he turned 32 last month, and we are looking at him diminishing in the next couple of years. I hate to say it but, would have to consider trading him for a #1 pick, NO LESS.

IF we were ready to make a legit run, there is no way I would consider doing this but, I just do not see it this year, and a trade may be in the best interest of our team.

i'd like to see the team basically come back the exact same, except with a better oline, maybe a better tannehill/Wallace chemistry, and wake not be injured. Oh, and don't forget an OC that can actually make good play calls, and adjust at halftime, if need be. If all that can happen, and Miami still falls short, then yes, we can TALK about what wake can bring, if traded. maybe Jordan will be a stud after one more year as well.

I would have to really consider it for a mid to late 1st round pick especially if we can nab two OL starters. That would fix a lot before Round 2 of the Draft even starts.

Uh, no.
Wake is what Ross will call, a ticket seller. Besides that, we have a strong team, let's just make it stronger. Cam has many more meetings with Brady lined for 2014.

Not a good idea when you had just traded up in draft to take a guy to play opposite of him. Aside from that you have to replace Wake and finding a good DE isnt always easy!

Thanks, and sorry I missed it. For anyone posting on that one, please feel free to ignore this thread, as I know that threads are seldom repeated here. lol

I am somewhat curious as too why you felt that you had to point this out instead of just posting to another thread, of which there are many. Are you looking to become a Mod?

Nah, just seeing this thread posted several times is very monotonous. While I know these threads get repeated over and over and over, the point you bringing up in trading Wake is not going to happen.

Wonderful, a contribution to the discussion. JK This is something worth considering. We have OV and Jordan, as well as a little depth. We will not get the same value as Wake with a #1 pick but, it could give us a potential building block for the near future.

Sorry if this is monotonous but, it is not for me.

I honestly don't think it would be in our best interest to trade Wake. He did have an off year last year but he still brings the double teams that helped OV out and I still think he will help Dion grow. Just like OV credits some of his success to Wake. While I did jump on you very quickly (apologies) I don't think this would be smart at all.

I have serious doubts that our team can contend this year but, believe we are close. The trade value of Wake is high, and I don't see anyone arguing that he is worth a 1st round pick now. I believe that we can replace many players in FA but, that it will take a year to gel.

Next year, Wake is 33, and will not be worth a 1st round pick. This wold be the time to add another 1st rounder, and hope that at least one or, maybe both work out for 2015. I do not want to do it but, see it as a VG option.

age injury n cap# say yes.. besides schedule imo says 5-11 (ok 7-9 so u feel butter), so y waste the year
