OK, a little drastic, but catchy title for the thread. This is my first post after reading 100's of threads, after discovering finheaven 6 months ago... so now I've finally registered and must get something off my chest. Chambers is undoubtedly NOT a #1 WR. I know Joey and DC frequently overthrew, underthrew, or otherwise, but I am beyond sick of seeing him repeatedly try to catch the ball with his body!!! If ya'll remember a few years ago, CC would jump high and hang in the air, and grab passes out of the air with his hands... now he keeps trying to catch it against his body, as it squirts right on through to the ground. Why is it I can see this, but our WR coach or Mularkey can't? I BLEED aqua and orange, and I'm tired of being pained by the little things that equate to losing campaigns. Chambers isn't 100% at fault for his poor season, but he's got to be at least 75% responsible... I mean, consider that Welker and Booker and their #'s. He doesn't get open, and now expects a perfect pass to catch a ball. He needs to MAN UP and go get some balls, instead of hinting that it's Joey's fault he sucks this year. Anyone feel me here? We need a true #1 WR. Chambers had his shot, and he needs to be a #2 guy. It's the only way our passing game will take off... thoughts?

If the qb would put the ball where it belongs then Chambers would not have to adjust to every pass that is thrown to him and he needs a qb who can get the ball to him on a consistent basis.

its hard to adjust to a new QB like every year of your career.look at some of the best WR's.harrison and wayne have had manning for so long.smith and delhomme, johnson and palmer.when fiedler was here he was QB for a few years so chambers got use to him and did well

tell that to marvin harrison who routinely makes hard catches.....a good WR is about catching the balls ur not supposed to...no QB is perfect. they all make bad throws

too many fins fans just blindly love chambers...he doesnt get open enough, doesnt fight for the ball well, drops a lot of passes, and tends to run average routes...im all for trading him

I'm glad some of you are feeling me here. He needs to go get some balls! There isn't a reason in the world that Welker and Booker are grabbin' balls but he isn't. He repeatedly says that he passionately believes DC will be our QB next year, which insinuates that he is not a fan of Joey... fine. But quit hinting that it's the reason you keep DROPPING balls! Remember Gadsden's hands? Remember McDuffie extending to grab a Marino pass that was slightly off target? The good one's grab some of these balls... the great one's come down with most of those which touch their hands. Chambers hasn't even been good this year.

While your thoughts are well intented... I think you need to put more thought into your threads before posting...

Noone's number are even close to being good on this team when it comes to receiving! Let's just blame the ENTIRE receiving CORPS for drops and near misses!!! There is not a team out there that would not take RM, CC, WW, MB or DH if given the opportunity!

The problem is not the WR CORP... It is the QB!!!
