Trade Chips

Keep B. Marshall - we gave a way two seconds and you only want one second back? I wasn't huge on the deal but he is a great WR not as good as he could ever be - he just has some serious issues that cost us you have to keep throwing the ball to him to keep his (ADHD) head in the game

Isn't this the same type of thinking that sent Welker to New England?
Welker was sent to NE because he was a RFA tendered as a second round pick. They signed him to an offer sheet and the Dolphins were going to match so the Patriots offered an additional 7th rounder and the Dolphins accepted. Just another one of Cameron and Mueller's blunders.

The only player on the roster I would consider dealing is Cameron Wake. He is going to be a free agent soon and will most likely get a hefty contract. However he is almost 30 is he really worth a 5-6 year deal? If they can get a decent pick for him I would accept it.

With high picks in each round and a last place schedule new leadership should be able to put a competative team on the field. Add in some free agents and the few core players that stay and we should be fine.
Everyone is expendable as the new guy will want his own people. In a few years there will be little left of the Parcell's dynasty.

A least I'll have my hat.

Wake would easily fetch a second rounder. Pass rushers are a premium position in this league, and he is among the elite. The only thing that may bring it down to a third would be his age, but he has less wear and tear on his body than most 29 year old do, and I could easily see him playing another 5 years at this level especially with his effort and determination. Guy has the best body in the league (no ****) doesn't drink/smoke/party anything. His entire life revolves around football and all football people respect that.

if we trade Cam Wake, opposing QBs might as well read the newspaper while they wait to be pressured..
Exactly. We need pass rushers as badly as we need a franchise qb. Did everyone see Tom Brady set up flatfooted in the pocket just waiting and waiting for his receiver to get open. Only way to beat the top teams is to pressure the heck out of the quarterback.

For the life of me I don't understand the front office
We are on the verge of letting Soliai and Langford walk
If we didn't extend them this season I would think it would be
much more difficult when both become free agents

Do we over pay next season or let them both walk
or do we do what New England has done in the past
and trade them for draft picks???

Well if we trade away all of our semi-decent players, we'll definitely be the worst team in the league.

We suck now; let's give a better coach/GM all the picks they need to develop young dynamic players with the idea of building for long term and not for one year. Even the low round picks can be coupled together to trade up in the early rounds

Trade Karlos Dansby all that money he got was wasted money. He is not even top 10 MLB

I get that, but it doesn't mean we need to entirely clean house. We have a lot of decent young guys that could be built on. I'm just sayin', I don't think it would be wise to rely on a bunch of rookies to develop into the players we need

No, not a total clean, but the ones that aren't going to help us 2 or 3 years down the road

Further i think the offensive with a few pieces is set

1) atleast 2 more solid lineman
2) A seam busting TE

These needs should have been addressed in free agency, but Ireland refused to do so. (Oh wait; he passed on quality linemen and TEs but did sign Colombo!) Ireland needs to go, or this team will never be competitive. However, if Ross has ordered Ireland to skimp on talent to save money, then this team has no future as long as Ross is the owner.

Wake got a late start..I think he's 28 or 29. I would definitely agree with trading him TODAY! i can realistically see a 3rd for him.
i personally think he is worth at least a 2nd. i wonder what his contract demands are
