with trent green on his way for most likely a 6th round pick.....i say we trade culpepper to oakland for randy moss.......then the raiders pick calvin johnson and our chances of getting brady quinn increase 100 percent....what do you think finfans?

I don't want Randy Moss, and we cannot trade Culpepper until he passes a physical, which as of now it seems will be a while if ever.

Culpepper can't even get healthy for us, what makes u think a team like Oakland wants to add him to their pathetic QB roster . . . and why would that stop them from taking a QB.

Guys, you gotta relize, C-Pep stood up and took a chance by playing early when his knee was crap, it usually take about 1 1/2- 1 3/4 year to heal this kind of injury, but Culpepper stepped up to the plate and tried. It would be pretty crappy for us to not give him a 2nd chance.

We traded for him last season and he couldn't pass a physical. It all depends on the terms the 2 teams agree upon. Saban should have insisted on a conditional pick for DC, NOT a guaranteed 2nd rounder. That was a stupid move on his part.
At this point I would trade him for a conditional pick next year because that's all that any reasonable team would want. They aren't going to give up a draft pick this year when nobody knows for sure if he's even going to be able to play.

That's life in the NFL. He wasn't injured while a member of this team. If you ask me we did him a big favor.and went out on a limb for him. We gave up a 2nd rounder instead of a conditional pick and we gave him a new contract.
Sorry, I find it hard to sympathize with DC on this one.

I think this thread has no value.

Nobody forced Cpep to come back, he said he was ready. If he wasn't he should have sucked it up, and took one for the team. Instead he played when he wasn't ready and put our playoff chances in jeporady. Life isn't fair, and not everybody gets a second chance.

satan is gone culpepper should be too....it's a new era..cam/randy with trent green and brady quinn.

Sorry, this isn't street ball where u get a bunch of neighborhood kids and play. This teams spends millions on trainers, doctors opinions and staffing for medical reasons. U don't let a 8 year old drive because he says he can drive. This team did a POOR job in evaluating Pep for the beginning, whether Daunte said he is ready or not is pointless, he is not the one that should have that decision. Nick make a mistake and he still realized that Daunte was his best option even on one leg . . . it was just too much tho and the switch needed to be made and the coward left w/o seeing his failed experiemnt go through.

Whether Daunte stays or goes, thats up to Cam and Randy .. . but to say Pep has had a fair shot to be the QB of this team is false.

Do you really think Al Davis will trade for someone that he can run faster than?

When did I say that Saban did a good job? Saban screwed up, and he's an idiot, the doctors screwed up and there idiots as well. But If Daunte had said, I'm not ready t play, do you honestly think that they would have put him in. I understand that Saban and the staff screwed up, bu you can't the blame solely on them, nor can you on Daunte. It was a combination of things that lead to the re-injury. And yes Daunte had a fair shot, if he would have stayed out of the lineup, and waited to play when he was healthy. In my own opinion all three of them are idiots, but most of the trainers have been fired, Saban is gone, and Daunte is still here. also why do you think that Daunte was our best option at QB. Do you forget that Harrington won us six straight games. I wish that we would have kept him, because I still think he can succeed in the right situation.

I think Moss is done. He had his days with the vikes, he'll be no good.

Nice sig by the way Rubbin420 (I'm a Rutgers fan)
