Trade down for pics for Ngata and Whitworth?

If the Phins get 3-5 pick, is it wise to trade down for 2 1st rounders. Picking up possibly Ngata and Whitworth? If Ngata is healthy, he's a god damn stud and Whitworth will be a freakin project and a half for Houck. Possibly even draft Darnell Bing, spruce up our secondary
 
I really think we need Haloti Ngata, Traylor is old and besides Wright, we have no younger, (Zgonina is old too), he draws double teams and that could allow a blitzer to break in, he is a load, and like belichek i think saban will draft his NT in the first.
 
I would expect our priorities to be (in order): QB, DT, CB/S, WR, LB.

I don't think LT is a pressing need. Every team could use a franchise LT, but our OL is above average. Our CB/QB play is not.

Ngata would be a beast, better than Gardner. Traylor won't last much longer, and I don't think you can count on BOTH Vickerson and Wright. Hopefully one pans out. With Ngata, that's a monster/athletic inside line.

I'd be tempted, if we get a top 5 pick, to trade down with someone in the Bush/Leinart/Hawk race and pick up Ngata and a QB... It is illogical to think Leinart is in our reach. He's a top 2 pick. But there are more QBs to be had here. I am not the biggest Vince Young fan, but he would be exciting to watch. I'd rather go 8-8 and miss the playoffs with an electrifying QB than go 10-6 and miss the playoffs with Gus Frerotte or some other stopgap. I think Vince Young is improving week-to-week and has high upside.

The other thing in our favor is Meuller. He has eyes for QBs.

Getting out of this draft with Young and Ngata would be a smashing success, in my opinion.
 
im all for hopefully trading down. I like our chances at snagging really good players in the late 1st and early 2nd rounds.
 
Young isn't going to declare. And say he did both he and Ngata are top 10 picks probably.

I like the sig -- this is the guy I want in the draft too.
 
Haloti Ngata will be a top 5 pick IMO. Dominating NT's who can get significant push into the opponent's backfield are rarer even than great QB's.

how is leinart an illogical pick? we could easily trade up to get him. and vince young sucks, plus he's staying in college
