It's hard to figure out what teams might want to trade up with Miami. But, San Diego may be looking running back so if Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon are targeted the Chargers sitting at #19 could deal up with the Dolphins. That's what I'm projecting here just for the fun of it. Miami gets San Diego's 3rd rounder as well.

Here it goes.

1. Erik Kendricks LB UCLA -- I've seen him mocked mostly at the bottom of R1 to the Packers. Daniel Jeremiah has him ranked 44th, I believe, in his latest rankings. So at #19 he may be considered a bit of a reach. I really don't care about that. I love the football player. He can cover against the pass, play the run and has very good instincts. Kendricks is a little small, but the addition of N. Suh on the defensive line negates that quite a bit. I think he's a perfect fit for a team that needs serious help at MLB.

2. Daryl Williams OT, Oklahoma --- Facing the strong defensive fronts in the AFC East, Miami needs a power player at guard. Williams is just that. While he played RT at Oklahoma, I'm projecting him inside at guard where I feel he's a better fit. His feet are good enough IMO for a zone blocking fit at guard.

3. Ifu Ekpre-Olomu CB Oregon -- Coming off an ACL injury IEO drops a little in the draft. I love the player. Physical for his size and a ballhawk, IEO is also versatile with his best fit maybe in the slot. That's important for Miami to be able to defend a team like the Patriots.

4. Dezmin Lewis WR Central Arkansas -- A project, but I love his upside. At 6-4, Lewis is the type of player who can win in the redzone. The Dolphins wide receiver core is thin at this point in free agency so the team may look earlier for immediate help. However, if the team signs a veteran (Crabtree, Jennings) Lewis would be a great pick.

5. Derrick Lott DT Tennessee-Chattanooga -- A small school DT, who dominated at his level. Lott is 6-4 314 with skills to develop.

5. Nick Marshall CB/S Auburn -- A quarterback at Auburn, Marshall is making the transition to the secondary. Has nice size and athletic ability, plus gives the team an emergency quarterback.

6. DeAndre Smelter WR Georgia Tech -- Another big wideout for Miami to develop. Smelter is a physical wide receiver.

look for Philly to trade up in a multi-player deal.....14 for 20.......Dion Jordan to Philly....Miami gets Mathis, Boykin.....2nd & 3rd round pick.

That's possible BlueFin. When I heard that Joe Philibin still wants to use Dion Jordan at DE, I felt that his chances of being traded increased. Something does seem to be brewing in Philly.

I would be more than good with this, the only thing we r missing is a power type RB.
Kendricks is decent value there later in the 1st.
Williams gives us versatility and could play RT in a pinch.
Olomu is good value there.
Lewis Im very high on him, could be a playmaker in time. Nice upside.
Lott I dont know much about.
Marshall is very intriguing. Could eventually be a steal there. Great measurables and value there IMO.
Smelter, only question I have is if he will be there that late. Great upside with him too.

I would love this!!!!!!!!

Yeah I'd love it too...unfortunately the Eagles would laugh at that offer.

I don't know.....moving from 20 to 14 is a 2nd round per the chart......so really its Jordan for Mathis(who they are looking to dump salary wise, like we did Wallace), Boykin who isn't a starter, and a 3rd rounder.

To a 3-4 team.....whose coach was Jordan's college coach....who sees him as a 3-4 outside backer....I see the value to them.

Do you have some kind of source for this or are you just in fantasy land?

I also have us taking Kendricks and Ekpre-Olomu. Both guys would instantly contribute to the two areas of biggest need. I think if we wait too long on Kendricks, he will be snapped up way before our 47th pick. I think we could get him in the #18-24 range. I would even be ok taking him at #14 if our other areas of need are off the board.

Ekpre-Olomu wouldn't instantly contribute...he'd be starting the season inactive or on IR since he's still recovering from his injury. It's also a reason he's being mocked in the 3rd and 4th round.

Well if you have been following Ekpre-Olomu on Twitter, he has been working out at ProActive Sports Performance in California, and is well ahead of schedule. His injury happened in December, and he has five months to get ready for the NFL season opener. I think it's a risk worth taking. I doubt he will be there in the 4th. Most have him going late 2nd-3rd. Sounds like he also could be moved to Safety.

Interesting to see that Ifo Ekpre-Olomu is ahead of schedule in his ACL recovery. The single best fit at corner for Miami in the draft.

@OmarKelly Not Waynes although he's a good fit and a good player. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu is the best scheme fit for Miami and it's not even close.

Two guys that played corner in college but I think could make VERY good safeties at the next level: Quinten Rollins and Ifo Ekpre-Olomu

I see us going Wideout at 14.

I think the choice at 14 will come down to Devante Parker, Breshad Perriman, La'el Collins, Trae Waynes & Marcus Peters..........3 out of those 5 will be there and from those 3 will be our first selection IMO.

I see going Inside Backer later in the draft....we are spending a lot of time with 2nd to late round prospects

We don't pick in the first than??not sure I like that

I think if Cooper, White and Parker are off the board, there is a good chance we attempt to trade down. If Waynes is still there are #14, we will likely take him. DGB and Perriman are a bit too risky at #14. Jaelen Strong could be someone we target at WR if we trade down? Or get a WR like Agholor or Dorsett in round two.
