I got the broadcast of the texans and colts game and at the end of the game Andre Johnson looked incredibly pissed off and disheartened as if he was thinking "yet again we miss the playoffs", I know this is a wet dream, but if there is any possibility of getting Johnson for a 1st round pick and a 4th and maybe ginn or another WR I would be ecstatic...

I doubt that he is on the market but if something could be done I would give up 2 picks for him without a doubt. The guy is top 3 wide receiver in the NFL.

Keep dreaming, a receiver of Johnson's talent would demand 2 number 1 picks, and even then I still don't think they do it.

Texans aren't trading him to the Dolphins, not for anything less than they'd feel like giving up.

I wouldnt do it even if it were that cheap. How is Andre gunna stop good offenses-which is our biggest prob

No need to trade for him when either V. Jackson or B. Marshall will hit the market. On the outside chance that their teams franchise both of them, then I will gladly take Dummerville or Merriman when they hit the market! The key is we can't be cheap and lowball them, like we did Brown to watch him sign in STL and us getting a injury proned Grove...

Hilarious because in another thread you took the words right outta my mouth on this one...

Denver and San Diego should be in the crosshairs... They can't possibly keep all the talent that is up for grabs... DJ Williams and/or Dumervil have got to see light of day if they hope to keep Marshall in Denver... Maybe even Scheffler....

Malcom Floyd and Merriman likewise are gonna hit the market when Jackson gets resigned in San Diego... Very good plan to watch those teams...

and then sign Wilfork as he is the double whammy... Upgrades us AND significantly and HURTS THE PATSIES...

i am assuming he would demand a trade in this scenario, having said that, the number one pick in 2010 and 2011? I almost wouldn't mind that either...

dumervil would be a great addition as would tony sheffler and malcom floyd

i would stay away from merriman, the guy cant stay healthy and someone is bound to overpay for him... Marshall or Jackson on the other hand... I would prefer jackson though...

San Diego also has to re-sign Darren Sproles and Marcus McNeill. They can't keep everyone.

I'm up and down on Merriman... I do share your concern but he is a very useful piece when healthy... A little risky...

I would prefer Dumervil or Williams on defense from Denver... Williams has 81 tackles and 3.5 sacks from the interior spot, very solid numbers... We need a consistent interior presence and having the ability to bring some pressure would be a nice luxury... Dumervil leads the league in sacks right now with 14. Either of those would be very solid additions.

Look at Merrimans last 4 games which happens to be once he passed that 12 month mark from his ACL injury. The guy si back to being a BEAST! Football players get injured it is part of the game, but this guy is a game changer! Even when he is not heard of, he changes the game becasue he demands a double team and extra attention every down!

i agree he is great, but he will want top 5 OLB money in the league, are you willing to put that up for a guy who might miss a considerable amount of game, if im not wrong he has been more injured than brown.

At the same time WR is the biggest priority, and money has to go there, however if merriman comes for the right price I wouldn't think twice about, it and I wouldn't mind cutting porter and bringing in merriman with that money...
