Trade Harrington and move up in the draft!

Why not trade Joey Harrington to Oakland or even Cleveland (who had interest in him when we were looking at him) with our 1st round?? Thoughts?
 
i dont think anyone would want him but if they do sounds good
 
Im not opposed to the idea bc Lemon showed he can be a dependable backup, but you are forgetting that teams use the Draft Chart far too often. Its very difficult to move up a few spots in the first round
 
Yea let's trade the best QB we ever had and that helped us gain back respectabilty!!!...Yea great idea!.....lol.....jk.....Dont want to give you guys a heart attack....lol...If we can get some value from him that would be good....

honestly...i doubt anyone would want harrington now. so why not propose trading lemon for a 4th or 5th?? we could draft a qb and make him compete with joey for the #2 spot

Joey is a back-up qb at best! We re-sign Lemon as our back-up, keep Culpepper, and draft a qb like Russell, Quinn, Brohm, or Smith. We still have Joey under contract for one more season I think. Might as well get something out of him instead of just releasing him. Even if we can get a 2nd or 3rd round pick it would be worth trading him. Pretty much as it is...we don't have much sittin at qb right now. We need a guy of our own to groom and be the future. We also need a good back up plan in case Cpep isn't ready or fails. You tellin me you would like to place the future of this franchise in Joey's hands? I don't think so. That would be foolish. Odds are we won't resign him and he will probably have fickle and inconsistent play next season.

are you serious A. culpepper was injured B. with lemon we actually movee the ball downfield. C. Harrington is a mistake waiting to happen I am all for trading him.

Joey wouldnt look like a back up if the receivers would catch the damn ball!
 
this thread sould be lets trade DAUNTE and move up. it would be killing 2 birds with one stone. we could get the qb we want and get something for a qb who will probaly be traded or released any way.
were not going to keep DC and draft a #1 qb, its to much money.
draft a qb and either trade or release dc after june 1st. that way we save the cap space.

let joey or cleo play until our new qb is ready then hopefully trade who ever started next year and keep the outher for backup.
 
Mistake. Keep Joey. We don't know if DC can come back, and Cleo still needs a lot of work.

We need a starter in case DC can't come back. Cleo is backup (at best) to DC and Joey at this time.
