I am going out on a limb and know that it won't happen but I am going to hang it out there anyway.

Porter has said Publicly that he prefers to go to the west coast and has mentioned the Chargers, 49ers, & Cardinals as his top preference. This is according to his interview on WQAM and is written on the ESPN Insiders page.

Boldin is a Pahokee native and has said in the past he would love to play for Miami.

It also is rumored that two positions that the Cardinals want to upgrade this offseason is NT and OLB. Per ESPN Insider!

If this is truly the case why not swap the 33 year old Porter for the 31 Year old Boldin. Both are somewhat close in age and both are needs for each team. Boldin is going to be gone after this year most likely so Arizona gets something in return. Porter will be cut or traded so we get something in return.

I may be dreaming but I would not mind seeing this trade happen.

Just wanted to post my thoughts. You can shred me apart if you want to but I think it would make sense for both sides.

Cam Wake would be able to step in and get more snaps with Porter gone and we would gain a very good receiver which we desperately need. The Trifecta has also been said to be keen on Boldin in the past.

The only downfall I see is that Boldin is 31 and has had some injuries in recent history and he will want to be paid.

Thoughts?

It would be a sweet deal, but I seriously doubt that Wisenhount (sp) is going to want Porter around.

He is a no-nonsense coach. You can see by the way that he has dealt with Boldin who is no shrinking violet either. Boldin has had continual issues with that team the whole time that their coach has been there.

Cowher was EXTREMELY patient with Porter. I think probably because he worked his way up from just being a special teams player. Cowher is really a special teams coach.

Porter is not worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick (we got Porter for free after his great years in Pittsburgh remember?) so I doubt the Cardinals would accept.

Good deal for us, bad deal for Cards....if this long shot deal goes down or is even proposed i wont be upset.

but...lets be real

Q can still produce, and has already said he'ls going to honor the remainder of his contract. They've lost Warner and i dont see them losing Q in the same season. They need to keep atleast 2 or the 3 leaders being Fitz and Q.

As for Joey, he may produce or he may not id say his chances of not producing are much higher than him actually being worth the $$$.

if we could get Porter for Boldin straight up i would be all for that but we would have to throw in either another player of draft draft picks

Simple solution... Chowder and Porter for Boldin..

On the more serious side.. Porter has zero value... There is no team in the NFL that wants or needs him enough to give up anything.. Let it go guys.. Porter came in, served well for a couple of years, but now its time to shake hands and say good-bye

Wasn't Wissenhunt Joey Porter DC or something??? Or was he an OC?

Either way.... Don't see it happening

Maybe we could do a package trade: Porter and Soliai for Boldin? Just throwing it out there :rolleyes2:

They have a good young NT so it would be more likly that it would be Porter and Crowder seeing how Dansby wont be back for them

yea if we wanted that trade to happen sending Crowder and Porter to AZ for boldin Straight up i think we would have to give them between a 4th and 7th round pick extra. how about lets not trade for boldin and just draft Dez Bryant and just cut porter and trade Crowder for what ever we can get

I don't thin Boldin is worth as much as everyone thinks he is in a trade due to his being so injury prone. We have a situation where there are two disgruntled players who want out of their current teams. I think this is a pretty realistic trade idea actually.
