It wil be exciting to see how Sage works out for the Fins this week. I hope he ends up being the next Brady. Then we have our QB problem sorted out and can use our 1st round on something else. But if he doesn't work out I don't know why everyone is so scared to trade the 1st round pick for Rivers. We obviously need a QB and there is no way this draft is going to produce a proven NFL starter for the Fins next season. So trade the 1st round pick to SD for Rivers who would be a 3 year vet and could possibily be the future of this franchise!

Rivers is a rookie qb he has yet to see the field for an entire game, you would still be using a #1 pick on an unproven qb, so why not draft someone who could possibly be better. IMO Matt lienhart is already a better qb then Rivers just because of the big games he's been in and pressure he has dealt with.

The truth is we will win some games this season, and we won't be in the position to draft ML, I agree get ML if he is aviable but no way will any other QB be good to draft this year to be a instant starter.

he would be 3 years in the NFL, but i would hold off calling him a vet untill he gets some serious playing time.

i think trading your 1st rounder for rivers is a MUCH safer bet than either trading up for a QB or drafting the best QB who happens to fall to the fins spot.

or we could wait to see if Carr is not signed back?
do you know the deadline for the team to pay him the 8 mil?

i think they will, but if its sooner rather than later, it may help teams decide what they want to do.

i think rivers could be had for this years first and a third next. leinart will be MUCH more pricy to move up and get, Rivers is YOUNGER than leinart, fresher than leinart and more prepared for the nfl NOW, considering our defense is aging..this has to be our guy

I honestly think its way to early to make decisions on our QB situation. I don’t think Sage will be our answer or Gus! Matt Leinart will be a big reach for us in the draft! A trade for Rivers would be a safer option! I do think it’s a wait and see situation, there’s a long way to go. Hopefully we'll eventually get the right man for the job.

Actually with the running game we have our guy needs to be smart and efficient. Everyone would love to have a #1 pick qb but IMO it's not necessary. We could get a very accurate proficient qb 2nd 3rd round. I think LT should be our priority then qb. But that's my take on things. Maybe Lemon is accurate, but the answer is out there I just know it.

Yeah true.

But I am sure if you dangle our 1st and say Chambers Houstons way we might have a legit shot to get Leinart if we really wanted him.

They already have their #1 and with Chambers that would be a nice offense.

I personally wanna hold out for Quinn. So I wouldn't even be opposed to trading our 1st for a 1st from SF or Houston the following year and whatever else we can get. Who knows anymore though.

The way teams are coveting their draft picks these days.

I say we sign Carr(if available) or Kitna and we use our first round pick on something other then a QB. Draft Quinn in the 3rd or round if he is still available and groom him for a year or 2 behind Carr or Kitna. If Quinn is ready after the year or 2 and Carr is not producing we bench Carr and give Quinn a chance and in Kitna's case we sign him to a 2 year deal and an option if he can't show signs that he is leading us to greatness we get rid of him after the 2 years or keep him as a backup if he wants to stay on as the backup. I know there is a lot of IF's but that would be my choice.

Get rid of Chambers and then we have a Reciever problem.
