Got this from www.draftdaddy.com and I did not know that the Cardinals were looking to trade Larry Fitzgerald. I think he would be a much better pick up than Roy Williams and Chad Johnson.

"Flozell Adams is now getting love from Kansas City, Baltimore and Atlanta....Carolina is still toying with trading Julius Peppers....Arizona is also still considering trading Larry Fitzgerald and there is still smoke around Ocho Cinco's stay in Cincy....I keep hearing that Mike Brown is willing to do something with Chad Johnson if Chad is willing to give back some bonus money pre trade and the new team will give him a new dealm Draftdaddy.com and I never knew the Cardinals were thinking about trading Larry Fitzgerald. To me he would be a better pick up than Roy Williams and Chad Johnson."

I would like to Get Adams in FA and Possibly trade down with the Falcons and get D. Hall
I think Fitzgerald, Peppers, and Johnson would cost way to much

Do you know what pick the Cardinals have, never mind cause they would not be willing to trade up because they may not have their eyes on any particular player at the top of the board.

They have the 16th pick this year

Larry Fitzgerald - Heck yeah
Roy Williams - Yeah
Chad Johnson - ugh

The Larry Fitzgerald situation bears watching. I've been very critical of trading away draft picks and spending big $$$ this offseason, but he is one player that is well worth the price, time and effort.

I read speculation somewhere that the giants were willing to part with there first round pick for deangelo hall.

If thats the case we may have a hard time getting him, because we would not be giving them that much.

Although our second round pick is a lot like the giants first rounder. I guess it would depend on who was on the board, and who the falcons have targeted.

this trade would take care of my drafting a CB with our 32, but I also like fred davis or the notre dame TE there.

as for fitz, what a stud.

I wonder how much of that contract we would have to take on.
I'm thinking we would have to give up too much at this point, but ya never know.

I would have no problem at all if we spent a big chunk of $ to bring in Larry Fitzgerald. This would do wonders for our offense. We would have a WR on each side that would call for doubles teams quite often. Also Larry Fitz would be a huge redzone target that could really help Beck. Our offense put up good numbers with Trent, Ronnie, and Chambers, I'd imagine we could put up just as good if not better with Beck, Ronnie, Ginn, and Fitz. If I'm the GM and there is a slight chance he is available, I would be all over this one. This guy impressed me everytime I watched him and we have plenty of cap space, plus he's only 24 or 25!

Big money for Larry........

Only 24, Fitzgerald has made the Pro Bowl twice in his four seasons, which kicked in millions of dollars worth of escalator clauses. He's due to make almost $32 million the next two years, so it will take a considerable amount of guaranteed money to entice Parker to cut a new deal.

Parker wouldn't talk about contract details but did acknowledge that he is seeking more than the $27.2 million in guarantees that Detroit receiver Calvin Johnson, the second pick in last year's draft, received in his six-year deal.

Pass...................

He's 24 and he's already one of the best in the NFL, you have to pay big money to those players if you want them. If the Cards can't work a deal out they may be forced to trade him, at which point I think we should seriously consider it. We could sign him to a long term deal and front load the heck out of it. For a player of this caliber, it makes sense. :)

A quick note, having a sure handed WR/TE would definitely hasten the development of any Miami QB.

Just think that because of our many needs the money could be better spent by using in several areas instead of tying up so much on one guy. Think that there are more reasonable WR out there who could be acquired and fill the roll successfully.

But if the Org. could work something out and feels its worth while and affordable, I'd be thrilled. But IMO, I just don't really see it as feasable.

Oh I agree that we should focus on fixing the DL, OL and defense in general, but when an opportunity comes along to get one of the top young stars in the league, you can't just turn your nose up at it. One of the weakest positions on the team is WR, if we could get Fitz and find another player via the draft or FA we would be in great shape and it would immediately help Beck's development.

I'm not one that advocates spending alot of money in year 1 of a rebuild, but this would be one of the very few exceptions IMO.

Add fixing DB,s LB.s TE,s, possibly QB and I just don't see it happening. I think that Ginn is going to be our star and that there are a few good FA out there at reasonable prices that can give us a very good WR corp. Personally I wouldn't mind them bringing in Berrrian or even Jerry Porter. But I do understand your point and truthfully think that the Cards will not let him get away, especially this year.
