With all this talk about trading for a WR or signing a veteran free agent WR, I thought since Satele is not the frontrunner at right guard or center that we should send him and our 3rd round pick to Arizona for Boldin. I know BP likes to build through the draft and they are some nice WR talent coming out this year but I feel like Boldin is too good to pass up on. Thoughts?

lol yeah they want way more the satele and a 3rd maybe our first 3rd and satele and the cake!
 
Why would we trade Satele??? He will be moved to G position and is an inexpensive bargain right now.
 
I actuallly mentioned this idea in the anquan thread. But said we would have to give them a 1st and satele.

A 3rd... seriously. The Bidwells are stupid but they are not rick spielman.
 
I think a mobile C/G like Satele could be very valuable to a team like Houston which utilizes the Alex Gibbs/Gary Kubiak zone-blocking scheme. It wouldn't be a bad idea to place a phone call to them.
 
Honestly, this isn't a bad idea. It would probably take Satele and a second, but it is definitely plausible. I don't think it's very likely, but center is definitely an area of need for the Cards.
 
Arizona wants a 1st + more......but you think we can get him for a 3rd and our backup center?

We are not getting Boldin...he would cost too much for this FO.
 
i dont think we should trade him at all, behind him we dont have any depth at the G or C position. Keep in mind that Grove is a good player, but never reached his potential in oakland (although most dont in Oakland). Ive seen him play many times because i live in oakland and i wasnt impressed. I think it'll be a good thing for Sam to compete for the starting C or G position. We need depth at these positions because we wont always have a year like we did last year wit so little injuries.
 
as things stand, with nothing established on the playing field, we still need Satele
we don't need Boldin, we have a promising WR stable emerging & the draft is deep in prospects

Yeah, I have to agree. I think we continue to use the draft to add talent to the roster. I think Bolden is an excellent talent, but I don't think he'll make us SB conteders. So it really makes no sense to trade for him. I personally like the direction this team is going and they way they are getting things done. I wouldn't be pissed if we traded for Bolden, but I would prefer we didn't.

however they decide, is fine with me.
I just don't think it would be consistent with their philosophy in rebuilding the Franchise.
I will be surprised if it happened.

Satele in, Boldin out, keeps under the cap & leaves us with our draft picks, plus guarantees the offensive line
