Saw a recent mock with Joey Bosa going #4, which got me thinking. At what point would you trade up for a player in this draft? Is there anyone you'd trade up for? For me, if I'm Miami, I'd keep an eye on Bosa and Jalen Ramsey.

Those are the two I'd deal up for if they started to fall a bit. It's hard to predict the draft, but there are teams ahead of the Dolphins that need quarterbacks. Cleveland for sure, maybe San Diego, Dallas and San Francisco. That could lead to some talent dropping.

I'm not talking about trading from #8 to #1, but thinking #8 to #4 if one of those guys drop. What would it cost and would it be worth it?

I know some would think that the idea of getting top flight players in the draft by moving up would be ideal, but there are always other players that are equally as good later in the draft. Now if we had a GM like Ozzie Newsome, we could be confident we would be able to find these other players. But since we have a moron like Tbum, it's a craps shot at best. But I still do not think we need to trade up and give up the future.

We need as many draft picks to play as long as possible so we can keep over paying guys in free agency.

I'm generally not a fan of trading up. And this year there's not one player I'd be happy with if it cost us picks to move up and get him. And like you said, the fact that there could be some QB reaching is even more of a reason to stay put.

Not a fan of trading up because you're spending draft resources on one player when the team has multiple needs and depth issues.

Teams that have a stockpile of picks from previous drafts might target a player of greatest need, but we can't afford to do that.

nah...only one id consider it for would be bosa and that's only if we come out of free agency with nothing but 2 deep des in house

Sorry but I don't understand the mancrushes on Bosa.

That said, other buckeyes (Apple, Decker, Perry, Lee) would IMO be better fits for the phins and could probably be acquired via trade down (later in rd 1 or 2).

I would totally trade BACK... We need as many picks in the top 3 rounds as possible... I would take Alexander or Fuller with a later first, target Brothers with the second and target Ol with the extra pick...

Not this year. It made sense the year we traded up for jordan, we just did it for the wrong player. Bosa would be the only one worthy, but the family history thing is plenty enough to scare me off

I do wonder how far Reggie Ragland will fall. He seems to check off on all the boxes Miami is looking for, but maybe #8 is too rich. A team needing a quarterback may look to trade up so I do think that's a possibility.
