The preseason is worth something if used correctly.

The problem: O-line - depth.

Solution: Trade for value and depth.

What do we have - and who is stacked and provide us with someone in return? (Dallas)

We need two players IMHO a starting guard and a back up LT.

I think we are rich in D-line - especially DT - but value may be in pass rushing.

Like in The Movie Tommy Boy -
Zalinsky: Went a little heavy on the pine tree perfume there, kid. Tommy: Sir, it's a taxicab air freshener. Zalinsky: Great. You've pinpointed it. Step two is washing it off.

You think someone is going to trade for Anthony Johnson or Cj Mosley when they could sign them in 2 weeks?

Maybe I suppose :idk: I doubt you get anyone better than what weve got though. We always look through final cuts for a starter and never get one

you make it sound like we are the only team in the league who is not able to find starters after cut day

No obviously noy but OP hopes to find a starting guard and a backup lt as we enter this period.

Would you trade OV? Fede? How about Earl Mitchell? Rishard Matthews? Dion Simms?

Before people get mad at me - everyman has his price - so if we could secure a top O-line for one or two of these players - would you do it?

Yikes those are all starters or primary backups! Those are all a big no for me mate, not 2 weeks before the start of the season.

OK GM then your stuck with Fox and no adequate backup for our guards...

The Dolphins CANNOT count on Brandon Albert for 16 games....He is likely being pushed to like Delmas to be a week one option. I think he is a week 6 option - after the bye week which puts him on the field late October. But even if he starts week one - we need a back up plan - is yours Fox? So far thats the best management can do...

The guard situation is pretty much set. Thomas/Turner . . . . Douglas and the backup snapper (Brenner/McClendon). Fox is a serviceable backup . . . yea not a great situation if he has to start for several games, and yea I'd look into what else is available, but quality backup LT's aren't growing on trees. People wanna bank on Jake Long (injury waiting to happen) and Anthony Collins (who was the worst rated tackle in the NFL last year I believe) . . . just want somebody for the sake of saying we got somebody. I mean I'd take one of those guys in a battle with Linkenback . . . but for the most part our line is pretty set.

im well aware we suck at LT behind albert and I have been seriously disappointed by our whole approach to the O line. However I didn't get us into this mess - I just see no solution in the next 2 weeks.

There is very limited value since there is not the chance of another team getting the player off waivers.

Oh God no! Why trade away to fill a hole and create a new hole?

We have what we have. Some expensive vet might be cut in the next couple weeks that we can sign. Other than that nobody giving away quality depth on the Oline.

Nobody is making a trade before first cuts. Wait and see what's out there first.

Big picture... 1st team offense scored a TD on 3 out of 4 drives... without Albert... Tannehill has a QB rating over 100... Without Albert... I know it's pre season but I thought it would be way worst than that... I'm pleasantly surprised actually....
