an earlier thread i saw, says that Chambers and Booker together are costing us 11 million.....and McMichael is costing us 5 million. So if we get rid of these 3...we would save 16 million????? If thats the case, thats A LOT of money for receivers who are inconsistent. sure they CAN play well...but they are inconsistent.

my question is....what can we get in terms of draft picks for them??

My guess is:

Chambers: At least a 3rd
Booker: 4th-5th
McMichael: 3rd-4th.

hey if we can get 3 extra picks (3rd-4th rounders especially)...im all for it.

What do u guys think they could go for?

Chambers has some trade value, but it's killed by his 7.3 million salary figure. It's not likely that someone is going to want to give up a pick and pay that kind of money for someone who's underachieved to this point.

Booker has trade value, and his salary isn't that bad. We may be able to get good value for him, but then again, is he better off on our team? Tough question.

Finally, McMike also has some trade value, but given the usage that TEs get in Cameron's system (of course, that may be more due to the fact that he had the best one in SD) it's likely he's retained.

hey u ever think that if we got rid of those 3 we would have like no offense?? totally not worth it at all

Yea, lets trade away 3 veteran recievers and hope to god that the 5th rounders we get from Montana St University West and the likes can do better.

Them 3 are our best WR If we get read of them the team is going to really suck even more than it does now

Geez, trade Chamber, Booker and McMichael? That leaves us with what? Welker, Hagan, Vick and maybe a rookie or two? Not something I would want to go into the regular season with.

Okay, and now you need 2 WR's and a starting caliber TE.

Derek Hagan is a question mark, and Wes Welker surely isn't starting caliber.

i dont think they are the best 3...Wes Welker is great, Derek Hagan and Marcus Vick are new...but lets say we added a veteran receiver via free agency.....or at least kept Booker. then we ditch the other 2 for picks.

what i really dont get is why people think we should trade mcmichael...he didnt have that bad of a season...sure chambers wasnt up to par but still to say that we trade away them all is ludacris

Trading all three is absurd, I'm all for trading Chambers but there was an article couple weeks ago that they were shopping him around and had no takers

We wouldn't save 16 million because we would have to eat some of the money. If I remember right from previos threads we would save about 10 million if we traded all 3. That's not worth it. They may not be the greatest, but they do have talent.

An article? How reliable was this article? I find this very hard to believe.

You want to trade 3 of our 4 threats on offense? Man, can't you just imagine our offense without these guys. Welker our #1 with Hagan at #2 and Vick in the slot with Peele as the TE. There would be college teams that could beat us if that were the case. Another 1 star thread.
