Trade With Raiders?????

I just posted in the General NFL forum regarding their starting Cornerback Fabian Washington. He is a former first rounder who is on the trading block. Maybe they could throw him in along with extra draft picks so we could swap.

I would pull that trade

Swap first rounders we get Fabian and a 3rd or something.

WHOA WHOA WHOA...

Fabian Washington is on the trade block??? lol in Madden 08, i have Fabian on my team. hes actually amazing.

u DONT select Jake Long at #1, he is NOT worth 30 million guaranteed. hes a GOOD player, he'd make a great RT for us, but NOT at #1.

if we can deal with Oakland to swap 1sts, and get Fabian and a 3rd...id do it in a HEARTBEAT. Fabian has lots of potential, he did well in 2006, then sorta stunk in 2007....but hes only 25-26? hes got upside, he just needs support around him...and well, Miami has done a great job landing support on defense in the past 2 days

...if MIA knows OAK is taking Jake Long, they won't trade cause Jake is the most sensible pick now, after FA anyway.
Agreed. After the free agency signings, I no longer want to trade the pick. Even if we traded to the Falcons with the understanding they are taking Matt Ryan, the Rams could take Jake Long, and he seems to be the perfect fit for us (today).

That would be a trade I would strongly consider as well. We would add a starting CB, an extra draft pick and it would still allow us to draft either Gholston or Chris Long, whomever the Rams pass on. That would give us 2 more starters on defense and a player with a 3rd pick that can step in and contribute and be a player for the future.

Sorry bro, but this draft really doesnt have anyone worthy of a #1 contract anyway. Thats why they say this is the year you dont want to have the #1 pick. While there are some very good players that will be the first to go, Jake is a monster and would be our franchise LT. Parcells just solidified the right side of the OL in FA, the left side still needs to be put together. Cant really say Long is or isnt worth a 30 mil guaranteed, but Long is a beast and would anchor the left side. Last year Cleveland took Joe Thomas, who made the Pro-Bowl in his rookie year, now we have a chance to draft our own monster. We have young QBs, and its important to keep them upright and let them throw the ball. If we draft Long, which I think is whats going to happen, you look at our OL of Long-XXX-Satele-Smiley-Carey. Thats a pretty damn good looking OL.

Just because he is good on Madden, doesn't mean he is good in real life...I used to play good on Madden with ray lucus

Fabian is actually a very good corner. I think him and Will Allen could become a pretty good duo. With that said, you're right, when people use Madden as a way to compare players, it's really "lol".

With all of the Atlanta and Dallas draft spot trade talk, I've been waiting for a rumor that actually sounded plausible. All indications are that we wouldn't draft Ryan or McFadden with our top pick, so those teams dealing with us wouldn't make sense (they'd deal with the guys drafting after us).

We could really draft Jake Long at this point, so I could see Oakland talking to us if they want him that bad. They also have a good amount of guys on their roster (someone mentioned Huff) that they aren't wowed with, so we could very well make this trade. :)

how about...

we swap first rounders with Oakland, and Oakland gives us Huff and Washington. heck, ill throw in our later 2nd round pick if they want. Huff and Washington have tremendous upside and are YOUNGGGG
