Assuming we finish in the middle of the draft (12-20ish) would you think a trade of our first and Jason Taylor could score us the 1st overall pick for Leinhart? Just an idea, if you don't like it, don't post.
 
you are right its just an idea... thats about all I have to say about "this".
 
Its not that we dont like it, its that its beating a horse to death. No offense, but its only just over the half season mark. Lets try to enjoy the season first before we talk about all of the drafts and trades etc.

Personally I believe JT has enough value to bring us a 2nd or 3rd in the trade as well. I love JT as much as the rest of you, but we have needs, and JT can be replaced.

That is a good point. And I don't want Taylor gone either, but if I had the choice I'd take Leinhart at 23(?) over Taylor at 32.
 
OK, how do we talk the Ravens into giving up their shot at Lienart for our mid rd first and an aging DE??

I don't know. Stupidity?

Not only are there stupid trade threads that discuss trading our best players, the people making the posts aren't even taking salary cap ramifications into account when coming up with these stupid trades.

6 Million I believe. That is quite a bit of dead space. That is the only problem I see at this point.

why? its simple. a great QB can win us games that taylor can't. simple as that. now dont get me wrong, taylor is my fav. dolphin and love the guy but waht if they trade taylor and a first alogn with a 4th maybe and pick up leinart then pick up Abraham as a FA. now that could work out. rem. in someones post earlier they quoted a reporter i beleive saying dont be surprised if saban is arleady finding ways to trade picks and players to pikc up leinart. Now, what about a madison, 3rd and a 1st? or a madison, 2nd next year and a first this year? a lot of possiblities just depending on the team iwht the pick that has a certain need cuz we do have some value on this team taht we can let go of to pick up a good qb.
 
The difference is in 3-4 years Leinhart could be our Manning. Or Taylor could be retiring. Sure I'd love to be watching Taylor's ceremony and speech where he retires a Dolphin, but will the game we lose after his speech be worth it? Superbowls mean more to me...
