What's everyone thought trading Byron Jones and or X ?
What would cap hit be and could we get 2nd round picks for either ?

No team is going to trade a 2nd round pick for a player who is overpaid as much as Jones or Howard.

With Jones missing the entire season with an injury, he will likely be a player they cut after June 1st in an attempt to gain some salary cap.

Howard has struggled all season. Whether it is a groin issue or he has just regressed, I have no idea. I just don’t see any team trading a high draft pick for a player who has likely already played his best football. The Dolphins would be lucky to get a 4th round pick for Howard this coming off season and they would probably have to agree to pick up much of his salary next year just to be able to trade him.

Yeah thought as much cap is a mess. Jones, Howard and ogbah amount to 48 million in yearly cap. Add cedric wilson deal it's a shambles.

I'd trade everyone I could not named Hill, Waddle, Wilkins and Phillips.
The rest of the team should be on the trade block.

We have so many holes and I'm starting to feel we might need to draft a QB soon. We aren't in a position to "win now" so the best option might be a full sweep. Trade everyone worth picks. Hill and Waddle should be the starting point. Why even think we have a chance in the next three years with no OL and no healthy QB? Get someone that won't draft Iggy's and other pointless players so we can rebuild from the Jacksonville/Houston perspective.

Somewhat sarcastic. Somewhat not. If Tua doesn't retire I'll just ride along for yet another year and see how it goes. Realistically I'd say not great, but there is always hope.

Howard has declined steeply this season and has a bad contract. Jones has no value at all since he can't be counted on plus also has a bad contract. No team is going to trade for either of them.

My thoughts around it all, we won't finish low enough to be in a tank position. Package up second rounds for 2024 draft and turn into a second first to get caleb Williams or someone of similar talent. As is tua fragile

I'd trade every single person I could and go with picks. We endlessly have talent that is out of sync. D for a few years with no O, and vice versa. We need to try to get things at least close at some point.

Right now we have two wide receivers, one LB, and one DL. Zero OL and CB, no healthy QB, and minimal RB. Rebuild for the tenth time in past decades. IMO.

Or not. 🤔🤣

Jones is an injury settlement and vet min contract somewhere else.

You might convince some desperate team to take Howard for something minorly worthwhile if you hold on to him until training camp injuries, but it strikes me as another Gesicki where they wait too long and get nothing.
