Although many of us (me included) love to play GM this time of the year, some of the trades proposed (Anquan Boldin, T.O., and Ocho Cinco come to mind) are not the type of trades our FO likes to do.

If you look at the trades we did last year, you'll see a trend. Players who are backups in other teams and are not starters because the starter is just too good.

For instance, if Arizona keeps Fitzgerald & Boldin, I'd take a look at Jerheme Urban, WR (6'3, 208lbs), 2008 stats (34 Rec 448 Yds, 4 TDs).

What other players do think fit that profile?

Bobby Carpenter. Parcells went this past season and "rescued" a former draft pick of his in Fasano and tried to get Carpenter as well. It would not surprise me at all if we did that with Bobby Carpenter this season. Actually, it would surprise me more if we didn't try to get him.

nambdi for jason allen and maby a conditional 6th if he plays well (sarcastic eye roll)

I wouldn't mind landing TJ hoshmazode!! I know he's a FA, but I bring his name up cause I honestly don't think we make a trade at all, unless it's a deal like the one we made for Fasano last year.

Miami is gonna try to raid the Cowboys again, and it would not surprise me to see them go for some of those pllayers again. This is the thing that bothers me about Carpenter in 3 years 35 tackles and 1.5 sacks, seems like Parcells is human and everything he touches does not turn to gold.

problem with raiding the cowboys is they are not as supremely talented as many think. Carpenter has been a huge bust, I would not mind him for almost nothing but he is not good.

You may be right on that, but Parcells can be stubborn with that kind of stuff sometimes. Some people thought Fasano was a bust until he got here and I think Parcells will probably want to see what he got in his first rounder from three years ago.

As much as i would like the FO to do so, i dont think were gonna make any trades at all this year. I really dont think we go and get any big names in free agency. I would love to, and hope to but i just dont wanna get my hopes up cuz in all likelihood we wont. I see us just bein ho hum about it and getting some nice draft picks and thats really it.

Torry Holt? Living back in the days must be nice, no way. Houshmanilla WR of the Bengals, now that guy has earned his spot even WITH loud mouth Ocho crowing every chance he has. TJ seems like a pretty hard working, low key kind of guy (except the steelers towel thing that once). Bobby Carpenter? I am not so sure he would thrive here just because Parcells is here also.

I know they dont have the history of big time trades. But this team is ahead of were Im sure they thought they would be. We need a Big time player now to get us over that hump. Big time players win playoff games. We need a big time trade and I hope they see that. See what a veteran QB did for us, imagine a veteran WR. Or stud on D

Yep. Would not surprise me a bit.
